okay first of all are your stock coils cut? do you have ground controls? then if you dont then your suspension is shot, most likely your shocks. You need to probably get new shocks dropping it shouldnt bounce only when you go over bumps and potholes.

Your car should never bounce whether it's lowered or not. Bouncing is *definitely* a sign of worn-out shocks/struts. Get new ones.

Your cars suspension is a bit more firm then the GLE and GXE models, but if your bouncing all over the place. Your shocks are shot!!! take it back to the dealer and get those shocks replaced, your not suppose to bounce all over the place with a new car. Not unless your exaggerating the amount of bounce.

I noticed my 99 SE is bouncy as **** too..

Its kinda unnerving when i was rounding a corner of the highway off ramp at high speeds ( nobody around)... which i always do with my protege..
The max was so floaty and bouncy that it was like i was going to jump!!

ANd applying the brakes just resulted in a slight fish tail (lots of body roll and rear wheels lifted)..

Learned my lesson, never take corners fast in a stock maxima.

Damn i miss my protege..

When I replaced my stock shocks/struts on my '99 with Eibachs/Konis about a year ago, one front strut and one rear shock were leaking. That's after about 20K miles. Who's to say they weren't shot at 3K? Who's to say yours aren't shot at 14K? You need to take it to the dealer and complain.

Nice pic.
Just trying to show everyone what a intrax looks like with a cut coil and a 245/40 18 tire and sprint same drop. Just trying to influence others for positive feed back, especially the ones that are looking for the good looks.

Some milage displayed here sounds awfully low for a shock to go. Did you guys check tire pressure? Dealers tend to up the pressure quite a bit. (common to see 40 PSI on 30 PSI spec).

For those of you getting what you call "bounce" coming out of a corner when hitting a bump, that is the facts of life on our multi-link rear beam suspension maximas.

I have a buddy with a 528 and we drive one road quite frequently together either in his car or mine. The road is curvy and made of concrete slabs with joints rather than asphalt. In his, as we round the curves, you don't even feel the joints. In mine, the back *** wants to step out and your teeth chatter. (Of course he has 16" wheels with 70s).

Try the ftsb - it really helps keep the car flat and on track. Best $ mod for a maxima.
