I voted for sumitomo over the other two. AA traction rating on those, and as cheap as the kumhos, cheaper than the nittos. Sumitomo will run circles around the other two in both wet and dry conditions. Another tire to think about might be the BFG G-Force TA KDW.

Most people just don't know a whole lot about tires.

nealoc is right, im not familiar with any of those tires. Ive know ive used pirelli p7000ss and would not put them on my wheelbarrow. Im now using toyo t1-s and very very pleased with them.

I have T1-S now too and they are the ultimate. Right up there with Michelin Pilots and S0-2s and S-03s, and AVS Sports. But all these tires are quite a bit more expensive than the ones in the poll.

t1-s are one of the lightest tires. Ive heard the s03 are good tires but one of the heaviest.

I had the HTR ZII and they were awesome. Quiet, sticky, and wore well. I now have the HTR Z (slightly cheaper) and they are actually a little better in the dry, but a little worse in the wet. Sumitomos are great tires.

Everybody swears by the Kumho's Sumimoto's etc.
Are these brands actually as good as the Michelin Pilots and others from Goodyear, Bridgestone/Firestone, etc?

Price not being a factor in this comparison...

Sumitomos!

I just went from the Nitto NT-450's to Sumiotomo HTRZ-2's...
and all I can say is the Sumitomos are SUH-WEEEEEET!
In the rain, I was paranoid with the Nittos. you hit a small puddle, and "woops" there goes your car, you get sucked into the puddle, even the small ones. Recently it's been raining here, and I tested out the Sumitomos. Purposely hitting the puddles at 45mph...only a very slight pull. On WOT the sumitomos grip even the wet pavement.
SUMITOMOs!!!!
oh, they're good on dry pavement too.

if you don't go with sumitomo which i've only heard good things about... especially dry traction, then get kumho's. All around good tires!

I have had all 3, curently have the Nitto 555 extreme perf, these and the Sumi's are both pretty good, I still have 2 of the Sumi's as spares and one Nitto. I just got the Nitto's though, I liked the Sumi's and they lasted 25,000 miles, I did not like the khumo's much. Nitto and Sumi's have better wet and dry traction, and the Sumi's lasted longer. The sumi's did good in rain and dry (even tested in snow unintentionally). The nitto's seem a little louder...
