Maximas in Spiderman?

Did anyone notice the 2 maximas in Spiderman? A black 5th gen parked on the right hand shoulder during the first part of the movie when Peter Park is on the bus. Then a 4th generation maxi(champagne color) cruising in a downtown scene.

No, I didn't see any Maximas in Spider-Man... only how badly Hollywood has disorted Marvel's flagship comic and how amazingly ridiculous the ending was.

Not to mention the fact that there wasn't enough Spider-Man in the movie.

noooooooo way man. that movie was awesome, to say the least. the cgi was top notch, and the acting was up there too. its tough to make real life mimic a comic or cartoon, and i think it was done well. the ending left it open for a sequel. and my friends hit me when i pointed out the maximas.

CGI was good. It didn't take away from the movie. It helped it along and wasn't distracting.

Acting by William Defoe and the guy who played J. Jonah Jameson was great. Kirsten Dunst was nothing more than sweater-meat ... which is a shame because she's a good actress and MJ has a very big role in Peter Parker/Spider-Man's life than just "the pretty girl he likes". And Tobey Maguire ... well ... he was good sometimes, sometimes a little wooden. The dialogue at the end at the funeral was downright cheezy. Woooooo!

Granted the action was pretty cool but what I'm complaining about it the liberties that were taken: how Uncle Ben died, how Spider-Man dealt with the guy who killed Uncle Ben, his webbing and the merging of the Gwen Stacey storyline into MJ's character.

I think they wanted to make a Spider-Man movie that wasn't totally like the comics. But at the same time, they used took some lines out of some old Spider-Man comics and put it into the movie. That's what tripped them.

Did I like the movie? Eh, it was pretty ok. I wish there was more action and more Spider-Man beating up crooks and cracking jokes and I wish the movie would have been either totally like the comics or totally different.

Would I see it in the theater again? Probably not. Would I see the sequel? Most likely (if the previews looked good).

spiderman realizes he has responsibilities, (ie, saving the city) and cant get involved with a girl, and he cant tell her he loves her, cuz shell be even more hurt, and MJ realizes that hes spiderman.

No, he said no to her because they're hoping for a sequel. And also because he doesn't want to put her in any more danger.

She's not going out with Harry anymore, afterall, she told him she loved Peter.

Harry and MJ were dating ... Peter said no because he wants to play superhero and didn't want MJ to get hurt by other supervillans.

Wasn't there a max on the other side of Spideys driveway just as Mary Jane came storming out when her dad was shouting at her? I only saw it for a second but I could be wrong.

Son of Green Goblin becomes next Green Goblin.

Venom is Eddie Brock (who was mentioned in the movie ).

This is the general discussion board, is it not? If non-maxima related threads aren't allowed, then why can't you guys make an off-topic board accessible to everyone?

That way people can talk about something else besides the same old accidents/tickets, Max vs. TL, and lightbulb threads that dominate this board.

It's been said before:

1) Donate more than $20 and you can access the OT forum.

2) Go someplace else where you can talk about OT stuff. There are plenty of other places on the internet for that kind of stuff and you can make new friends at the same time.

I couldn't believe the media hype around this movie. Well, there's not much else out there, so I guess they have to push SOMETHING. But give me a break.... all these damned movie critics paid off to say good things about a mediocre movie.

I personally haven't seen it, but two friends of mine did who like these kinds of action movies and they were like "two thumbs horizontal".
