Wouldn't it be great to have a whole system designed to work specifically for the Maxima? Eibach is working on/has completed, a whole set-up for the Ford Focus. (Springs, dampers, sways... ) They (Eibach) seems to think there is not enough demand for such a system on the Max.

I wonder how much hollering it would take to change their minds......

Thoughts?

Well, what all do you want? We've got springs, shocks, RSB (our car don't need no FSB), strut tower braces, poly bushings... And if you really want to be able to buy it all in a package, Cattman will be happy to put one together for you

Realize that Focus is a European car, it's been in existance in Europe for a while... they rally the focus, not the maxima. Ford also has pushed very hard to make the focus a "performance" car. Fact of the matter is, no one races a maxima up Pikes Peak, no one enters a maxima into a WRC even, and nissan sure as hell isn't sponsoring a maxima for any races. The focus is doing all that... how's this for a "shocker"? H&R has complete race coilovers for the focus but not the Mustang.

Yeah, but the point is all these parts would be designed to work together. I don't know how much that would improve the handling, but it seems to me it would help.

yes/no?

ideally yes, the whole system would work best... that's why coilovers from like HR or Eibach or Tien work best b/c the dampers are tuned for the springs. Although my skunk2 and AGX works well in the CRX, I suspect that a "real" coilover system would work even better.

Well, Brian's suspension is designed for the maxima and all to work together... So there ya go. Beyone the springs and shocks, I don't think the rest of it matters enough to make a difference if it's not designed to work with other specific aftermarket parts.

Brian did some testing and found the "best" spring rates for the car and struts. but he did not test it specifically for the car. Hey got KYB AGXs for Eclipses and mated it to some off the shelf springs.

It would infact make a difference, probably not noticable on the street, but certainly on a track.
