For those with a Stillen RSB

I was wondering if your bolts are rusting too? I had my stillen rsb on for about two months now and the bolts are rusting. Looks kinda nasty. I was wondering if you guys had the same problem?

bolt rust is inevitable. Good thing that 95% of the time people don't bend over to see your underbody

Pretty sad that a 200-something dollar bar is packed with rusty bolts, ain't it?

Mine rusted as well......just go to Home Deeeepooo and get some replacements. GALVANIZED replacements, that is.

Please note that bolts of grade 8 or higher are needed. There's no rating to the bolts at Home Depot. Try Pep Boys or OSH Hardware. They have grade 8 (cadmium plated) and grade 10.9 (black color).

Mine are also rusty, but I'm way to lazy to get under the car and redo the bolts. I imagine that I'm gonna have problems when the time comes to take the bar off.

It took me 3 weeks to finally take those damn Stillen brackets off. The bolts inside the bracket were oxidized to hell.

Edit:
I guess you don't live in HI sorry I thought 808!

I am assuming you are in Hawaii, don't even think about getting GALVANIZED! You will never be able to get those damn bolts off. I live in Hawaii too and let me tell you that galvanized anything sucks big time here. Take the advise of bsetiawan.

Does anyone know the correct specs to replace the stillen ones (bolt size and length)?

Thanks in advance.

And no.. i don't live in HI even though I wish I did. I went there this past winter and it was amazing. Maui kicks butt. I got my name from 808state.. the old school techno band.

mine are pretty rusty too. Will the aluminum and galvanized steel react with each other?
