Edmunds.com road test of G35

it says its faster than the TL type S

QUOTE

the Acura TL Type-S, yet the G35 was able to achieve a 0-to-60 acceleration time of 6.1 seconds, a half second better than the TL, in part due to its 200-pound weight advantage

I would hope so for RWD, but I like to see a 1/4 test, since that will show the top end of both cars better.

CL-S is about half a sec faster than the TL-S due to weight too, so I wonder how close the coupe g35 and the CL-S would be. Hmmmmm.

My understanding was that the G35 was supposed to compete with the likes of the BMW 330, Audi A43.0 and Lexus IS300?

The TL's more in league with the I35 no?

well, if you want to get techinical, they did say the G hit it in 14.7 vs. 15.1 for both the TL-S and 330I they tested.

Gee...so why is it so hard for people to belive Kloogly(sp) beat a 330i. Sure he has a 4sp vs. the g's 5sp auto, but he's got mods and the max is lighter too.

The TL on another review hit 14.7s, I believe 2 other reviews got that, but I don't recall which magazine.
