I installed the steel tensioner one today... the idler one was too much a pain to get to so I'll leave that one until I do the 3.25 or 3.12 pulley install.
THE STILLEN "2nd Gen" PLASTIC TENSIONER PULLEY WAS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE AFTER OVER 5K OF (AB)USE.
Also put in my custom CAI after sitting in my room for 3 months... Lots of cutting... I still have to drill the breather hole but it was getting dark[done].
Lost my windshield washing fluid reservoir as you can see
Well, that's less work on the CF hood then...

Take a look here. http://www.aspracing.com/intro.htm They make all kinds of underdrive pulleys. We need one for the 2K2! A crank pulley by itself is worth .1-.15 in the quarter mile, not to mention a little better fuel economy.

I dont know if you already purchased the air filter for that tube but I got my airfilter from hotroads.com something like that and it was only $35.00 is part number RU-3530, it is used for the Mustang GTs CAI, and is good enough for our cars up to 12PSI something like that. Cant remember the exact PFI 645. Looks very neat unlike my.

I'm just thinking of ways to route in cold air to that spot... Ducting project... hmmm...
Thanks for the info, though.

Just ensure you assemble the fenderlining properly or off it will come and it happened to me already cost $65 to replace the whole thing.

Be very careful when removing ASP pulleys in particular... not to badmouth but I've seen ASP pulleys come off in various ugly shapes or in more than one piece... just a wee "soft" to say the least

be sure to remove the small insert in the idler pulley and use it on this one. it looks like they didn't make that piece with the pulley. just becareful when removing it, it's pretty tight in there.

what insert are you talking about?, the only insert is on the belt tensioner pulley. The idler pulley(no rails) just has a washer and a 19mm bolt. Is that what you are talking about? Also have I known that these ASP pullies were low quality pullies believe me I would have got yours first hand but had no idea you were building a high quality pulley for the S/Cers?

ASP idler pulley on right:

Dan's idler pulley on left:

There's going to be some free play if you don't use the metal insert.

just make sure there's no lateral play in the pulley when you install..or that pulley will live a very short life.
not sure about quality...but steel have a tendency to retain more heat compared to alum. that heat may break down the bearings faster.
