Looks to me they are making fun of the Maximas that have the GT-R stickers on them.... which is kinda dumb personally, but hey... to each his own.

Well, if the guy went to the trouble of finding out who owned the car and what it was all about, maybe he's just ****ed at himself for not getting another Nissan and instead getting a fix or repair daily driver.

It may be in the title of the thread, but he is making fun of the GT-R sticker that some of the guys here have on their car.

So what. There isn't an anti-idiot clause to purchase maxima.org stickers.

How many times do people have to tell you man? No torque so friggin' what. The car is light. Those 18 wheeler turbo diesals have mad torque but are they fast??

So if torue is everthing, how does the S2000 do sub-6 sec 0-60's w/ "only" XXX torque?

That "cute little girl car" would slap the **** out of your Max in a drag race though.. Just something to think about..

Jeff is right Craig. Torque isn't everything. Sometimes you say some rather silly things. You know that a properly driven RSX-S can do 14.8-15.0 1/4 stock. I know it can hold its own against a 5spd Maxima(not the '02 6spd though)and would kill our automagics.

I love it how people think that since I'm a girl I don't know anything about a car or the fun factor. The car is fun, esp after the intake I put in this weekend. Torque? who cares??? I'm not drag racing the damn thing.. I'm driving it! Pardon me I didn't buy God's gift to the automotive world.

My motorcycle has 30-40 ft lbs of torque. AND it is a honda. Anybody care to race?

Anyway, lets not forget the "zilvia"s are REAR wheel drive! Something that us family sedans DON'T have (although I beat a newer 240sx at the drag strip pretty badly with my FWD). The previous generation you can make a very fast SR20DET for very cheap.

Uh, DeAnne, please remember you are considered "useless" by the main veteran of dot org.

In addition, I'm tired of Maxima owners here thinking that having torque automatically makes them better than Hondas.......the ignorance that belief illustrates is sad, especially from "enthusiasts" which typically join these sorts of forums. Oh well....

How cheap? SR20DETs are over $1500 w/o ecu? Plus another $500 or so to get it running? A turbo kit for the KA is about $2000+? Both of these only net you about 200-240hp? Nigel's turbo kit is $2500 or so and he got 280hp or some crazy number like that.

Damn...Ok let's ALL hate on me today!

First off, I know the RSX is fast. And I know the S2000 is fast. It's the having to revv them like Mad I don't like. I like a car that's power is accessable in normal day-to-day driving. I wouldn't want to revv my car to 8,000 RPMS just to get the power to pass another car while there are more powerfull engines that can do it in half the revvs. It's just my personal opinion, and if you like revving your brains out everyday more power to you!

I am not saying the RSX and S2000 (how the hell did that even come up?) are not fast cause they are, it's just my opinion that the RSX is a chick car. I know alot of people don't like Maxima's and that doesn't bother me..we all are entitled to our opinions.

Secondly, I don't think my car is God's gift of cars..there are PLENTLY of cars i'd rather have than my Maxima..i'd rather have any kind of '95+ V8 mustang or camaro, a turbo 240sx, ect.

Let's all just calm down here kids...

OK guess I wasnt too clear- but including the car its easy to scrounge up a chassis of a for a few pennies.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1828600394 for example.

Try to find a maxima chassis like that and it'll be very hard, even with nissan's bad depreciation.

I believe the motors are cheaper then that. One thing is certain they've plentiful. I remember a while ago I was on a hunt for a 3s-gte toyota motor, and I went to an importer in downtown baltimore that specializes in them, and there were tons of honda and nissan engines, particularly the sr20det.

Bad comparision... Nigel's kit is $2500 with NO turbo. When was the last time you checked ebay? There are always a few jdm red top sr20det's with tranny and ecu for ~$2500.

I don't have to rev my car to 8k to get power out of it.. I know a lot of people who don't have to rev their cars to get power out of it. It has to be driven right.

You can only say that the ES300 is a car for a girl and you have to say it on ES Forums.

That car is many thousands of $$ from beating a maxima

Ummm okay! First gen maxima/810 chassis. RWD, Z independant rear suspension, Z engine that the L28-T that bolts in. Mikey already know one that went 11.9 in the 1/4 mile

Check the prices. They don't give them away. Just because they have alot of them, doesn't mean they are cheap. You DO know that the Japanese rarely even changed their oil in their car right?
