Where the Maximas Are

I was astonished at how many Maxes there are in the Atlanta area when I was there this spring. Mostly 4th gens, there's tons. But in Cleveland, I see very few. Obviously there are way more Maxes in NY or CA or IL than in Wyoming or something, but I was wondering where other Maxima hotspots were.

Do you live in a Maxima-infested community? Haha. I'm moving to DC soon and I'm afraid that there are going to be millions of Maximas there. You know, it makes you feel less special.

I have to honestly say that when I was in ATL for my first and only time about a year ago I could not believe how many 4th gens there were out there. I see a few here and there back here at home, but Camrys and Hondas are definitely more popular than the Max. ATL is a serious hot spot for sure.

I'm in the DC area. Maxima's are very very popular around here. Lots of 4th Gen's but not so many 5th Gen's.

Let me see, there are 1,2, no 6 Maximas in the parking lot where I work. Yeah, Maximas are very very common in the NYC area. At one point, 2 2K Maxima SEs parked right next to each other. One was the base SE with cloth, and basic stereo, and 16s. The other was fully equipped, 17s, bose, and leather. Same interior/exterior colors, too.

I think the 4th gen Maxima was the best selling sedan in the Northeast at one point. There are some here in Cali also, but I don't think nearly as many as in the NE region.

Where do you live? The meet is right up 400. By the way....Lots of custom maxes, although I think I am more stock than others.

In the Dallas area there are lots of them from 3rd gen - 5th gen. Not anything like Accord or Camry's that you see 5 on every block of each. I still see some 2nd gens very few 1st gens here.

i think it's not really just the amount of maximas but the amount of modded maxes, ranging from wheels, to body kits, performance mods, etc. we had a pretty descent meet a couple months ago...if i remember correctly around 25 or so...most w/ some sort of mod.

Just add another max next month to the Atlanta area, I hope you guys hold another meet in early July Ill be back on the 28 of June. I will make that meet in my wifes Mitsu/Galant this Saturday. I ran into Min today across from the Tech School. I saw his cleared lights and knew I had ran into another member.

We need more modded maximas up here in BC Canada. There's quite a few 4th and 5th gens but they're mostly driven by grannies.

This is pretty much the group of Maxima drivers in the ATL area. All ATL max's drivers that attended will remember this one.
