What do you think of these wheels?

They're new from AT Italia. They're called the Inox. I really like them:

There are other pics at tirerack, but all of them were giving me the red X. They are available in 17"x7.5" and 18"x8". I'm thinking about getting the 18s for my car. They're not chrome. It's a one-piece cast alumninum wheel with a highly polished, stainless steel face. It's a "bright" finish.

I'm not sure of the weight, but I just e-mailed TireRack to see what it was.

What do you guys think?

They look sweet! But if they're like any other of AT Italia's wheels, they're heavy as hell. Probably 26 or 27lbs for 18s.

17s are 229 apiece, 18s are 269 apiece. I think he custom made that front lip.

Re: What do you think of these wheels?

I thought you wanted to go fast b/c you were looking into 5spd conversion

Anyway, as long as YOU like the looks and don't care about the weight then go for it.

If you still want to go fast, these will slow you down.
AT Italias typically weigh 26 lbs each (17")
18" weigh 27 lbs each

be sure to add another 24 lbs for each tire.

They look good.

I like how the spokes get wider as they go out from the center... not too good for moment of inertia.

but, pretty much any 18" rim with a tire will slow you down more then say an average 16" rim... The tires usually weigh more then the rims itself and the bigger the tire diameter is, the more they usually weigh because of the reinforced sidewall..

I got an e-mail back from TireaRack. They said that since the wheel is new that they don't have the specs on it yet. He said they'd have the information in about a month. If it's too heavy, I doubt I'll go for them. I'm looking for a mix of show, and go.

Have you looked at Volk Racing, Speed Star Racing, or Racing Hart yet?
