Since the controversy still brews over CAI vs. STillen, I've decided not to cut the hole in my fender and try the underhood unit. My question is if there is any difference between the brands available. I'm a real fussy about my car and little things like fit and finish are really important to me, so feel free to nitpick them.

I know Stillen has a reputation for high qual prod, which I would be willing to pay a little extra for if the quality is higher.

Also, please recommend a dealer. I think I read that GotRice sells them, and they're also on Cattman's site.

Thanks

Not much difference between the Stillen and the JWT . . .

Stillen uses a genuine K&N Filter, JWT does not. Otherwise their intakes are practically identical. The only real advantage Stillen can claim is that their intake is C.A.R.B. certified. That may or may not make a difference to you.

I'm not sure, but I think the stillen intake has a hole for one of the sensors, whereas the JWT does not. Also, doesn't the stillen unit come with some kind of support bracket?
Decide if the price difference is worth the money...you could use the saved money for a FSTB or towards a RSB.

The stillen intake comes with better brackets, a large one to support it from underneath and one to hold it up from above. I think the JWT only has the one on the top. Other than that, they're the same.

The JWT comes with a bracket that holds it from underneath. That is all you need. Also, the Stillen intake is louder than the JWT Popcharger.

Huh I wonder why the Stillen would be louder. As fast I can tell both units are absolutely identical, save the Stillen logo. The filter looks identical on both of them (although I know the Stillen is K&N).

I don't know why either, but Mrloyd's Stillen was way louder than my JWT, and other people have mentioned the same thing.
