my dust ring on my sub is coming off
one of my subs got banged up a little because my box is not bolted down and the ring on the outside is falling off, i figured silicone would be the best thing to use here but wanted to check first

if thats the peice thats around the screwholes....silicone is fine..or glue...super glue..whatever..depending on the material..mine is actually plastic..or rubber...or..wood..so..just use the most suitable glue. Worse come worse..use that white elmers glue.

Foam Surround?
Are you refering to the foam surround that holds the cone in place
if so you can get repair surround at;
http://www.partsexpress.com/
http://www.newfoam.com
That foam can be repaired with silicone/RTV, but as it ages it becomes brittle and even if you don't work your speakers hard the surround will fail eventually.

no it is not not the foam it it is the little ring on the outside of the sub where you puts the screws in, i just didn't want to use something that would deteriorate the foam surround, and you say super glue won't do this
