please read: important/ title info
i just registered a 1992 automobile and when i got the title back from albany/ it was a bit bigger than the original titles and under where the odometer readings/ it said: EXCEMPT
the car has original 38k yes 38,534k miles.
this sucks cause when i go to sell it, i have no proof of real milage?

Sorry I don't know for sure.
BUT, if I had to take a guess it could be like it is in Oregon. Once a car is over 10 years old, it is exempt from needing the actual miles on the odometer to be sold. While your odometer may be correct a dealer, or private party doesn't have to disclose the actual miles on the car when it is sold so it is considered exempt ( amazing what you can learn from cheap car auctions)
