Im looking to spend about $400 or so, I might go up a little bit if I have to. Im looking for tires that I can use mainly on street style racing, a few times on the track, and look good! Any help appreciated.
Btw- Im getting konig caffines in the next couple of weeks!

Caffeines rule Too bad they don't offer 8 inches wide like they do for the 17's

Don't try to race your i30 just pimp that thing out, and 18" Caffeines are gonna look really tight, especially when they are movin'! Your gonna be slowed down since you are coming from those ooglie 15" stockers, but then again it's a pimp car so who cares right?

My tires were $80 a peice brand new. They are called Nankang Sports, 225/45/17R H-rated for speed, 380 tread, A AA ratings across the board. But then again I have 17x8's not 18's

sounds like a good deal, but for street racing I could only suggest a W/V/Y/Z rated tire.

might push the limit of the H rated tire

I've been up to 125-135mph and was fine. I guess I shouldn't anymore I thought H-rated was a step under Z ??

It doesn't matter though because I am autotragic so it's not like I put the power down to even spin the birds anyways...but come July 13th I will have that power...damn

No H rated is not, 125 MPH is the highest constant speed for H rated, which I think you found out

Just cause your an auto, don't mean you can't go fast.

Also burnouts cost to much $$ to replace tires

I think you're gonna need some more dough. Kinda like in real estate when you get a good faith estimate. $400 is doable but tough even for 215/55-HR16's, you couldn't even do RS-A but you might do a Dunlop A2 or Bridgestone RE950.

If you're gonna get a 235/40-18, I think you better plan on $524 minimum, and that's for the Sumitomo HTR+. Again, I'd prefer to stay away from Korea or China-made tires, stick with Japan. What's good for Kia to me IMHO is not good for the Maxima. But I'm rooting for Korea to win the Cup even though they knocked my team out. Heck they knocked alot of teams out, hats off to them.
