255/40-45/17 Tires on 17x7.5 Rims

Will it fit on 7.5 SSR's?

I currently have 245/45/17's on it and have no problems.

Also, should I run the tall 255/45/17 or the shorter 255/40/17?

The 245's don't balloon out and my tire shop said nothing about it.

The 40 series would fit perfect with that width

255/45 will start looking like truck tires IMO so if you do it, go with 255/40. And get something sticky like BF Goodrich TA-KD.
