bad *** job. 1 question to a33: did you paint the housing itself black or did you smoke out the clear plastic? it kinda looks like you smoked the clear plastic.

Great job man! Those looks awesome. How come you couldn't get a complete circle out of the angel eyes? Do you have any condensation from breaking the seal?

I love it but if you made the rings go all the way around with out the missing link at the top it would look even better.

Great job a33!!!

Nice job. They look much better than I expected. I also thought you were only doing them on your high-beams. I think, that might look a little less cluttered, but overall I like them.

Of course, I'll be interested in the write-up on the angel eyes, but more interested in your experience with painting the housing. I think that looks pretty nice itself.

Great job and well worth the wait.

5er headlights rings do not go all the way around

anyway, i must say that looks like really good craftsmanship. I didnt expect anyone to do it so clean, looks great. But does anyone else feel like this is more of a bmw trademark and to have it on anything different would be.....? I dont want to say rice, but more like something that only bmws should have.

I was just gonna write the same thing... The beemer rings do not touch on top either, and it does look like a bmw-wannabe. But i'd still do it. It's different. I'd be like those civic guys with the gs300 front and rear. It's alll gooooood. Whatever tickles your pickle, if you know what i mean.

i bet we're going to have to wait 2 weeks this time... a33, i bet you can make a good ammount of cash doing this for all of us envious 2k2 owners... maybe that's why he's not doing a write-up.

it would take me some time to make a write up... one night when i am free and bored at home.. cuz i have summer skool everday and i dont like being home.... i was actually going to paint the lights body colored, but i think it would be too much of a risk, cuz it would be expensive for me to have a bodyshop paint the housing to match the car's pearl white, and if it turns out bad, im FCUKed

here is a simple write up....

take the lights apart, then paint the housing black.... i used plexy glass for the signal light piece of orange crap that was there, i sand blasted the plexy glass so that it isnt clear... then just glue the angel eyes on the do some wiring (which i dont know how to)

blubyu2k2: i painted the housing black and used a piece of plexy glass to fill the corner, and i sand blasted the plexy glass...

Greg's2kGLE: the angel eyes dont come in a full circle... not even on the bmw 5 series that have them stock..... and i dont have and condensation in them, the secret to that is to clear out all the plastic that is already in the light b4 you put in new glue or silicon or whatever...

NickStam: i did the painting half myself and the shop did the angel eye wiring for me...

and one thing about the color of it.....
i uses a strange bulb (ones used at home) so to change the color i am going to buy a colored film and put it on the housing b4 the fiber optics... i havent looked into that yet, but i will.... i am going to make it right yellow like my side markers and parking lights.... cuz i dont want them to be illegal...
