Almost defintely no. Just too many variables from car to car that I seriously doubt it.

New ones from Courtesy are only ~$50. Don't bother rigging another one to fit your car.

damn i just didn't want to spend the money.

that $50 could go towards my underbody neon light kit. or better yet i could put it towards fixing my alxe or my little coolent problem, or even the power steering rack.

The FSTB offers you more for your money than any cosmetic mod could, IMO. Of course regular maintenance of your car is important also.

Also, even if it did, I wouldn't do it. You just dont want to fudge something like that on your car. Put the FSTB on your wish list for the coming holiday season or check the 'For Sale' BBS for a used one. Some folks still say that the FSTB is the best bang for your buck. Even with all my mods, I would tend to agree.

No

A FSTB from a 4th gen will not fit a third gen, but a 3rd gen FSTB will fit a 4th gen. Go figure...

My 2 cents

Strut bars can be had very cheap. $ 35.00 is least expensive one from http://www.streetbeatonline.com

Alot of people here suggest getting the cheapest one.

I don't necesarily concur: The Stillen is the strongest looking one I've seen so far.

I may be wrong but I also like the way it looks in comparison to the cheepies. It looks tough to me.

P.S.

Message from streebeatonline regarding lead-time and lack of response:

"Those strut bars were a very rare item that we sold. We only carried a few in stock. We got orders for over 30 of them and cleaned out our supplier. They then had to reorder them from the manufacture in Taiwan which takes quite a bit of time. We did however try to notify people of the delay and shipped them out as soon as we could. We are now on back order again with another 30 on order and should be receiving 150 of them in about 2 weeks. We would love to help and get the business back from that site.

why would you even consider buying a mod when important items need to be fixed...its a no brainer...fix the problems with the 50 bones...i put off doing the bimmer headlight conversion and sway bars to take care of my brakes and purchase new tires...i would never imagine spending the money on the mods rather then the other stuff...

I don't know...

But that is how it worked out for me. I used to own an 89' Max. when I ordered my FSTB, they sent me a 4th gen one by accident. It wouldn't fit at all. I got the correct bar and it fit fine. Now my 89 is dead (hit by a drunk driver) and I took the bar off of it and tried it on my 96' and it fit just fine.

my mom thinks the people in my car club give me the stuff for my car. so she doesn't know that i blow all my money on mods. that way when something breaks and i don't have the money to fix it she's going to pay to fix it for me. she going to give me $1000 to get as much stuff as i can fixed.
