WHat do u guys think

Alright well luckily I jus got a new job that is payin real good money. SInce im only a senior in HIgh school I want a newer car. I currently have a 1990 Blck. SE with about 182000 miles on it. I know for a fact the car wont be lasting me much longer or even if it does for a lil bit it wont be worth modding it at all. So I am now to the conclusion on what to get for a new car. I am really looking for a fast car but still looks nice. My choices that I have been coming up with are:
1. Nissan Maxima SE 97-99 5 spd
2. Mitsubishi Eclipse 97 -99 GSX AWd turbo 5spd
3. Infiniti G20 97-99 5 spd
The question is, I love maxima's but dont wanna be payin an arm and a leg for mods. Ill probaly get the car in florida since they have such nice cars and deals. I jus wanna know whats reliable and what is worth spending my money on. Honestly and If u have any other suggestions for cars please add it to. But remember I am a student and dont haVE enormous funds so anything u guys can think of will help.

well the maxima is obviously a good choice but if you want cheap mods that will get your car very fast i would go with an eclipse, even tho it is a chick car but dont get the g20. the maxima is going to be roomier and in my opinion a longer lasting car,but like i said with some decent mods not including new turbo or nos you can get a GSX in the 13's. but i would go with the max, its so much better looking, plus if you eventually supercharge it you can say goodbye to every GSX that doesnt have upgraded turbo or nos.

I say numero uno...basically cuz its a V6, many mods available, very reliable (can go WAY beyond 200K and lots more with good care....

I dont know too much about the AWD Turbo Eclipses...but i think they're pretty ugly looking cars....

And the Infiniti in my opinion isnt that great of a car...its a v4, whoops they cant even make a V, i mean its an I4- i mean, i bet the reliability is good, but im sure a modded MAX would rape and re-rape a G20.....

So overall if i was in you shoes i would pick the Max...

Mitsubishi builds crappy cars. That's why their resale value sucks... which is good for you if yer buying used.

The AWD turbo is a blast to drive, as long as you can keep it running

G20 is an over-priced Sentra... fuhgeddabouddit.

A 4th gen Maxima would be a good all-around choice. Think of it as the best compromise in price, performance, and class (at least for a high school dude).

Good luck.

I'm not clear on what your financial situation is because you said you got a job payin real good money, but you also said you're a student. Sorry if I lowball you but I figure you must be talking anywhere from 40-50k then. If so, I think all the cars you mention are in the right ballpark. I think of the 3 the Maxima will be your best bet, but do a thorough search to see what the common problems are for a 4th gen. The reason I mention that is if you spot those trouble areas when you're buying the car, you can have them fix them. Otherwise even small things can get expensive. You might want to consider a Toyota Camry as well. They may cost more and have way less power, but when you're starting out sometimes trouble-free motoring is worth a little extra. 2 of my coworkers bought them new and have never had a single warranty issue--one of them is a '96 with 120k!! I was like say what? My warranty invoices can't even fit in that black book thing they give you with the manuals at the Nissan dealer! Good luck.
