...
Radaer may work fine, but the best products i found and say it on Discover channel is to get the radarbisters see
www.radarbusters.com

I saw this baby in TV block every device cops could measure the car used for speed(115 miles), the reading was blank.

The other dives, which I getting instaled in my max is BEARTRAKER that is used in the turck. it is not radar, but it only detect cop patrol in the raduis of three miles. so if there is cops it will beep.

Ummm

IBTL! j/k

Anyhoo, my general take on radar detectors is that they're worth it if buying one won't make your wallet cry. If you're saving every penny and checking every feature, then you're gonna expect some kind of miracle from a device that generally regarded as marginally useful at best. OTOH, if you just pick one up to see what it can do, you'll be more likely to put it away after that first speeding ticket

Here's what I've found stupid about radar detectors. First off, most folks recommend you hide the detector if you're being pulled over. Yeah, nothing like thrashing around inside your car apparantly trying to hide something with a state trooper on your bumper.

Second, they just don't work that well. If you get a cheaper one (I've had a few), they beep, chirp and do the LED shuffle at every fargin shopping mall in the county. And if you lay down the 3 or 4 bills for an 8500 or V1, you get a reliable detector that does little against instant-on radar, airplanes, speed traps over the hill, etc.

Anyways, here's my personal experience:

Ages 16-25: 4 different radar detectors, 4 speeding tickets
Ages 26-present: 0 radar detectors, 0 speeding tickets

Seems like paying attention and being less stupid > radar detectors.

More tips

No asskising then pulled over, cops notice that and then after you start "sorry...." your ticket most of the time is on the way. Be nice and polite, but no asskising.

Radars, I have older cobra so I usually speed no more than 15-20mph over, most of the time about 10-15mph over to be safe. With radars it is true, not enough time to slow down if you ar flying (like 30+mph over speed limit). I think the best decent combo would be laser jammer and a good radar. Although you have to decide wether invest on mods or radars (depending on how much you speed of course).

Passport 8500 and Valentine 1. I've used the passport and it works great. I've heard that Valentine works better.

valentine vs passport

I have heard many stories, about valentine 1 and passport 8500, but to tell you the truth I think both of them are good. Except that Valentine one cost more than passport 8500. Anyone tried this radar (click link) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=14935 it says it is better than passport 8500?
