he he, maybe the press is too high. try resetting the ECU, it can then shorten the injector pulse width.

Does this kit come with the filter screen for the pump??

 

Guys, the earlier year Maxima kits come with the complete install kit and filter sock. The later years are pump only. You can get a new filter from the dealer or a local NAPA for $11.

Mine did too, more of a mineral spirit smell than gasoline, though. Apparently they test their product before shipping.

 

Guys I personally don't test them but Walbro USA does. Also consider that if you do smell fuel after it is installed that you may still have gas fumes in your interior from opening the top of the tank.

if someone flamed you for this question, they have no life. i personally wouldnt get a fuel pump for a new car, unless i was going FI. But i would buy a walbro, if say my weak old pump off my 95' was getting old.
