Just got off the phone with Peter at OBX, they are not yet available (four more weeks or so before they reach the shores). PLEASE NOTE:

WE WILL HAVE THESE AS SOON AS THEY ARE AVAILABLE, AND THE PRICE WILL BE IN THE LOW 300 RANGE (320-340), WITHOUT A GROUP DEAL NECESSARY. Keep your eyes open on our site, and we will make sure we get things going as soon as they are available.

Thanks
Alex

is it just the headers, or the headers with the y pipe? Also did you happen to ask about cali spec cars?

one thing is can you just get the headers to go on your own y-pipe.i dont want to get rid of my cattman y.just headers would be cheaper.

Maybe, but if not, you could EASILY sell it for a Budget or Warpspeed price, so figure $160ish.

Or better yet, since you have to unistall the Y-pipe anyways to install the headers, just go with the OBX header/Y-pipe and sell the Cattman/Stillen for $250-300ish.

Do you think the OBX combo would be better than a Cattman Y and headers?

No dynos, no data.

Everything else would be speculation(ie guessing).

It's funny that nobody mention how hard it is to install headers. Don't be surprise if your mechanic wants to charge you $300 labor.

It's the front O2 sensors that will give you the problem. CEL is a guarantee for 1999 calispec and 2001+. Unless you buy an O2 sensor emulator.

Several people have done the Cali to Fed conversion, I don't believe this will be any different.

I believe(*could be wrong, it's been awhile), they ONLY moved the rear 02 sensors.

Doesn't Cali spec have an O2 on each bank right before and right after the precats? If so, relocating the REARS will work.

Yeah...cali-spec have 2 before the precat and 2 after. I guess relocating the rear o2s will work. But where do you relocate them to??

B-pipe....right behind the MAIN cat, which I'm pretty sure rules out a "test pipe".

IF there is some way to shield the REAR 02-sensors slightly from the exhaust stream, we may be able to "trick" it into thinking the cats are working. I believe it's just looking for a temperature delta between the front and rear sensors.

That headers in general require more upkeep. I have scraped a many knuckle retightening them.

Damn..I do have a test pipe on the car. I heard people use aluminum foil to cover up the O2 sensor.

theres quite a difference between the camaros and the maximas..Camaros engines are also turned sideways (hope you know why) to make things MUCH easier...
i actually went yesterday to a muffler shop to look at making me some custom headers and a full exhaust..he said its gonna be REALLY tough and take a lot of time.. he said expect to pay a little over a grand

It took 2 mechanics I know about 9 hours to do with a lift and air tools. I did the rear manifold my self on my 2002 and it took me 11 hours. The front mnaifold is pretty easy to do.

Maxima headers will be a pain in the *ss because the rear manifold is so close to the firewall.

It's nothing like a 4banger Integra or Sentra swap. Nothing AT ALL like it in terms of EASE...
