Cats sucks, one of my friend got their kit for his accord and the one bulb burned out after 2.5 months. The other one burned out aftere 6 months.
Are you sure it was a HID kit and not the Zeta system?
These bulbs are rated and should not go bad unless he touched the bulbs during install or something

Also a buyer beware, I have had some problems with Hella K2 HID system from www.hidfactory.com
They are helpful in replacing the bulbs, but they burn out all to easy and you pay more in shipping then you would if you just bought a different system.

Nick,
Keep in mind that is not a "Hella Kit". Hella does not make a kit, they just supply the ballast and the vendor names it as such.
A lot of kits out there mis-represent the ballast company so it is important you purchase a kit with a quality bulb.
There is no such thing as a "Philips Kit" or "Hella Kit". A more accurate term would be a "Philips-based or Hella-based Kit" w/ a cheap bulb w/ a base that is glued on. All Catz kits come with bases that are molded, not glued with a rating of 2000 hours (halogen is typically 400)

This looks like the kit to get. Any feedback on this vendor? I've never heard of them, and I'd like some credability before plopping down $600 on light bulbs Originally posted by magnetic1

Close to $600 for 5500k kits??
If hi/low is that important to have, don't go for HID.
If HID is essential, go for the Hanabi

Catz doesn't make one for 9004. Otherwise I would have started a group deal for them a long time ago. My friend is a Catz dealer. I'm still waiting on MIT brand HIDs. Friend says MIT doesn't warranty their stuff and he's not sure if he wants to carry it.
