Everyone, and I mean everyone who e-mailed me at alex@southwestautoworks.com has been replied to. If you didn't get a message yet, please call me, I will be more than happy to provide you with a tracking number over the phone.

Thank you all again. As of today, everyone's stuff has been shipped out. As I explained before, we did it in three waves (as we received them, we shipped them).

Thanks again
Alex

I just got my sway bar ans sure enough it's only got 2 bushings not four and they look like they are rubber to me. They do not look anything like the pictures I've seen, The bar looks like it's used and it's bare metal no paint or anything.

The bar does look a little old. Not too good on the quality. I'll probably paint it.

You know, I haven't pestered the guy because I know there were a lot of people in on the deal, but if he couldn't handle the volume, he should have set a limit on the sale.

I paid for my bar on January 17, and haven't received the bar OR any notice that it's been shipped. I shouldn't have to call or e-mail to get shipping info - it's common business practice to notify your customer when their order has shipped.

Has anyone received their bar complete with all mounting hardware, or will we all be waiting another month for him to send the missing parts? Based on the posts I read today, there are going to be a lot of unhappy people on the org.

I did finally e-mail him just a few minutes ago - if I don't get word by tomorrow, PayPal will get a formal request from me demanding a refund. I've been making purchases on-line for 10 years and never gotten burned. I sure as hell hope this isn't the first.

If people are missing parts it is not Alex's fault and they should contact Addco. He did not put them together, Addco did. If you need to find something out about your order call SWA. If you cant do that much then you cant complain. He did his best to bring a product to you guys for a price where he isnt making crap on it.

Agreed, for the most part it is not Alex's fault that there are some parts missing. HOWEVER, as a business, it is Alex responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction in the form of them receiving product in its entireity upon payment.

I'm not saying Alex isn't going to take care of this problem. I'm sure he will. But if for some reason he doesn't, he is to blame.

And I'm sure part of the negative emotions towards Alex goes back to his lack of replies to customers during the setting up of the group deal. Granted, he was moving the store at the time, but regardless, if you are running a group deal, you have to be there for the people that are paying you.

Guys, don't freak out. I'm a part of this group deal too. My RSB is still in the mail, but I'm sure mine is missing parts as well. I'm sure Alex will do his best to solve this problem. If and when he doesn't, then jump on him. But as of now, I think he's earned the right to a little leeway in this matter.

I hate to disagree with you, Steve, but the company responsible to me would be the company who took my money - in this case SAW. Addco has nothing to do with it, and they won't give any of us the time of day if we complain to them. Their customer is SAW, not us. I'm not sh**ting on Alex; I don't know the guy from Adam. I simply posted my own experience and opinion on the group buy. I fully expect him to come through on this deal based on the endorsements he's gotten from others here. But I won't tolerate waiting several days for a reply, which seems to be his pattern.

As far as his not making money - I highly doubt that, but it's irrelevant. He took this deal on himself, and put his company behind it. He's now responsible to those who paid him, period.

I was just reading the install writeup and you need 4 of the rubber pieces and 4 of the metal pieces. I guess im in the same boat with everyone else! I know its not Alex's fault there is no way he is going to check every box. Im sure Alex will complain to Addco and get us the pieces. Addco better make up for their error by overnighting us the missing parts!

did you say rubber? are you sure?
because these are supposed to be made of POLYURETHANE

in that case we will need all 4 bushings to be sent to us, to also replace the rubber ones. we all ordered with the condition that these are polyurethane bushings.

Im not sure either, this is my first RSB so im not familiar with this stuff. Are the brushings the black things in the pic I posted above? If you cant tell I can take a pic of just the brushing. They seem like black rubber on the outside and a harder black substance on the inside.

SADDCO

I began reading this recent bad news post around 4:00 today. All the negitive posts got me concerned even though my bar has yet to arrive. I went to the ADDCO web site and called their 1-800 number and they had closed only 45 minutes earlier! I then called SWA. Kevin said he will be going into work early tomorrow in order to call ADDCO first thing. We'll have to see what develops. SWA's total order was for 30 bars - this should not be any problem for a reputable company to handle. I have read what Cattman has said about the reputabilty of the ADDCO company. I suggest everyone that recieved a bar with missing parts to call SADDCO directly and complain as well as demand satisfaction. Alex is going to be doing much the same because now his company, SWA has been dumped in the middle of this mess. Kevin said we will see what becomes of his conversation with ADDCO here on the site as soon as he gets off the phone and is able to post. We'll have to wait and see - at least for the next 14 or so hours.... Be Safe, Mark V.

Call / Email / Complain...

here's ADDCO's contact information - Addco Manufacturing Company, Inc. 1-800-338-7015, E-mail: sales@addco.net

They should get at least 30 calls tomorrow... Again, Mark V.

I recieved mine today but have no idea if I'm missing parts or not (havn't had a chance to open the box yet). Assuming we are all missing parts, my suggestion would be that we should all handle this in the same manner: either calling Alex and dealing with him or calling Addco. If we deal with Addco, the first person to call should describe the complete situation rationally to them and suggest that Addco identify one person whom we all can deal with.

Personally, I don't have time to put my bar on in the next few days so I'll wait to see what the best way to fix this situation is..

Can someone who knows about this stuff look at their brushings and see if they are polyurathane? If they arent we have one more thing to complain about.

Just opened mine. Yes, the bushings are polyurethane.

I'm missing 2 bushings and 2 brackets just like everyone else. Here are the part numbers:
043W Mid-Section Brackets (recieved 2; missing 2; supposed to be 4 total)
612W Mid-Section Bushings (recieved 2; missing 2; supposed to be 4 total).

Everything else is there.

I do have a question though. I have a 2003. My invoice says RSB for 1989 - 2001 Maxima. My instructions say 1995 - 1999. Is the rear suspension the same for all these model years (including 2003)?

i don't have time to call addco, and i don't think its my responsibility either. just as an example, when you buy a computer with a bad (or wrong) intel chip, you cannot go call intel because the pentium chip does work, rather you go back to dell (or whoever you bought the comp from) and they will sort out the problem because its not the customers job.

i don't see how this is any different from my example. we the customers interact with retailers, who in turn communicate with manufacturers...

on the upside, i have no doubt everything will be sorted out, only thing is its taking a really long time

My RSB is missing the same parts as everyone else (2 bushings and 2 brackets). Thanks, pikapp22, for the 'poly' info. I recall seeing Addco pics that had red poly bushings and I thought the black were rubber. Can anyone else confirm that the black ones are poly?

I'm sure Alex will post tomorrow after he has contacted Addco. I am also assuming that he will handle getting us the missing parts.

BTW - has anyone gotten all the parts??
