GB: 5th gen aluminum bezels (real aluminum, not synthetic) $25

Alright, if 10 people want to get the REAL brushed aluminum bezels price will be $25+$8 shipping only good if we get 10. Just to reiterate, this is real brushed aluminum, we never deal with that fake/synthetic plastic junk. I never wanted to drop the price this low, but I'm a little peeved that the shop making the fake bezels is claiming that they are the only ones w/ the 5th gen application when we designed the freaking thing.

To clarify things, we were the first shop to make the bezel for the 5th gen, aluminum or otherwise. For 3 years, nobody made a bezel for the car. We finally got around to it, and lo and behold 6 weeks later, they come out with a fake aluminum bezel. Gee, kind of coincidental. And then to claim that they brought this new product out is just over the top.

You guys know this is over 50% off my normal price. This is the one and only time we will run this GB, so as soon as this is over, it's done and you will not see this price again. I'm basically selling these things at cost to get them out there so that people can see the difference between plastic and metal. Email me at sales@ap-signworks.com for more info. We take paypal, money order, credit card, etc.

Damn, this is an unbelievable deal! Sign my up for an aluminum/auto for my 2k2. I missed the synthetic deal but I would rather buy from you since the quailty of your products are top notch and your very trustworthy. Thanks so much!

I was trying to remain pretty neutral about this whole thing until reading this thread. I can see why you're upset that 35 of your potential customers bought from my group deal, but the mudslinging is completely out of line.

Some people don't want super-shiny real aluminum for their bezel. This is a factory match to the synthetic aluminum that comes STOCK on the 5th gen Maxima shifter trim. To each their own, but personally, I prefer synthetic over the one on Albert's car.

Who came out with the product first is irrelevant, although he has been selling them for cars other than the Maxima for a while now. He actually carries them for over 30 different makes and models. Look for yourself: http://www.autoaccessorystore.com/ho...im&wizard=1&s=

FYI- When this GD started, my guy told me he could also get REAL carbon fiber and REAL aluminum for significanly less than what you were selling it for before. I didn't even bring it up on the .org because I didn't want to step on toes. I actually referred people to your GD if they wanted the real deal.

I don't want to start a flame war about this because quite frankly, I have wasted enough of my time orchestrating the group deal that I made no money on.

I'm not upset about them making sales, this is business. I've got probably 30-40 other shops to compete against. You've been running the GB now for a little while now, and I have no problem with that. I even posted in your thread trying to help someone. I never tried to step on your toes for your GB.

I got some emails today that changed my perspective on some things. That's all. And if he can get the carbon fiber or aluminum for cheaper than me, that's fine. He can/should sell them and I'll have to find a way to compete, it's that simple.

And just so you know, none of this was ever directed at you. So please don't think I'm accusing you of anything.

Okay, we're cool... I just want to make it very clear that all I did in this GB was find the guy on ebay and negotiate a price with him. Whether or not the product was "borrowed" from you is between the two of you and the US Patent office.

In all honestly, a good analogy for this is me selling the Pacesetter STS's and you are selling the B&M STS. Different strokes, different folks.

In conclusion, I vow, on this day, to never, ever start up a GD again. What a ******* hassle.

Cool then. I totally understand the headaches of running a GB, and I do it for profit, I couldn't imagine dealing w/ all that and not making any money.

Glad we're good, I didn't intend to make it sound like I was blaming you or something.

Is the price still good for $25? Or do you still need 9 more people?

Unfortunately those would not be available at this price. They cost us more to make because it's a slightly different process. Those are going to sell for $45 + shipping. They will be ready within 2 weeks.
