Dear Members,
Colored piping is a tube of whatever color you choose that takes the place of the french or double seam that runs the perimeter of the seat. I will attach a pic of a leather/suede combo with grey piping.
No problem on the seat heater question. We actually do sell seat heater systems. I will post a link following the piping pic with a pic. They are $129.99 per seat kit at retail... only $90.00 per seat heater kit for all Maxima.org members.
Thanks,
Eric

guess you missed it
So honestly would you say if a person is able to read and follow directions. Is very patient and doesn't mind spending 7-8 hours or whatever it usually takes to install them, but this person has no prior knowledge on upolhstering, or doing anything like this, they will be able to install these with not to much trouble?
Sorry about that...
I did read the post, but it slipped my mind trying to get those pics...
In my opinion, if you can change your own oil and put lowering springs on your own car, you are a do-it-yourselfer with the skills to do this install. I did my first install by myself with no experience on my maxima about 3 years ago and it went flawlessly. The only part I had to redo was the door inserts. I did not ruin anything, but I had to go back and reinstall the covers. I think the whole thing took me about 10 hours by myself. I did Maxima leather installs after that with help in about 5 hours with door inserts. An extra set of hands really helps sometimes. As far as not having much trouble, I had hang ups on a few things my first time, but I never ruined anything. Overall it was a rewarding experience, but I enjoy learning/acquiring new skills more than most.
Thanks,
Eric

I have frost interior as well...I went with sandstone and medium taupe suede inserts...those are the two colors that are the factory matches according to katzkin.com (they are the company that makes the seats for leatherseats.com as well). I will be getting mine on tuesday and starting the install wednesday...Look for pics coming real soon
color matching...
Dear Members...
The 5th generation Nissan Maxima had 3 interior color options...
Blond................Light tan cloth/Dark brown dash
Frost................Very Light grey cloth/medium grey dash
Dark Charcoal........Dark Grey cloth/Black Dash
The single-tone color matches for each are as listed:
Blond................Sandstone
Frost................Puddy
Dark Charcoal........Dark Graphite
I sincerely hope that MaxDoogie is confused about what color interior he has. If he truly has the frost interior those colors are going to look horrible. He ordered the colors for the Blond interior... hopefully that is what he has.
The two-tone color matches for each are as listed:
Blond................Sandstone/Driftwood
Frost................Puddy/Platinum
Dark Charcoal........Dark Graphite/Lt. Grey
I will attach a pic of single tone puddy in the Frost interior.
thanks,
Eric

.Also, how bout those wheelskins. I am looking for a match for my BLOND interior. They come in two-tone, right? What do you suggest for that?
Wheelskin colors...
Dear Maxdoogie,
They are 39.99 per wrap. I have a color called sand that is very close to the Sandstone leather you ordered, but not exact. I don't have a color to match the suede inserts you bought or the dash color in the blond interior.
Thanks,
Eric

I should have some solid black leather pics on 4th gens... I will look. I don't have any pics of cross-stitching that are really worth showing. Where have you seen the cross-stitching before?
We don't have any infiniti logos believe it or not. We don't do that many models from the infiniti line.
The wheelskin pics are below... notice that they don't wrap up the spokes of the steering wheel. They are a perimeter cover only.
