hello everyone, i just received some important news! The guy i'm working with received the wrong BACK KYB shocks. AFter one guy in the group deal told us about receiving shocks from a honda prelude, he realized that his distributor sent him the wrong back shocks. I'm surprised only one person has complained about it but they are supposed to be all wrong unless u were fortunate to get the right ones. EITHER WAY, I NEED EVERYONE TO SEND THERE BACK ONE's back, or atleast those with wrong ones. If you do not know if you have the right back one or not, please send it back. If it doesnt fit, u have the wrong one. There are 8 on their way right now, those of u that get yours in the next few days, please send the back one's back. Some people have their's held so u dont have to worry. The people that need to send there's back are:

I deeply apologize for this sh*t. I dont know what to say but sorry and its not my fault but there's nothing we can do but send them back. I feel real bad about this.

trying to find that out right now, i wish there was something i could do about this but i have no power, just a middle man. My contact got screwed but he's trying to fix the problem....

 

COD is your best bet...it would be too crazy to keep track of who paid and how much they paid. he's gonna have to front the money, hold the receipts of all the COD's, and then discuss it with the distributor.

just got mine today, it all came in 1 box. I look at the rear struts and see that they are the wrong ones. Part# on the rear struts is 741032 (look on the strut), which is for a prelude. for the maxima we need part# 741039. guess we have to send them back and wait again.

 

yea i believe everyone got the wrong one for the back, everyone should send them back and he'll ship the right ones out...this sucks, i'm just thinking of what i would do if i was buying one....if anybody knows me from the OBX group deal, u know how i react to BS like this....

 

so... just re-tape up the box and return to sender??.. or (not to ask a stupid question) are the front ones right and we should keep those and just send back the rear??.. whatever it is, just let us know....

Just return the rears, the fronts are good.

If the ones you got look like this U-bracket mount - Prelude Rears - then you got the wrong ones. The Maxima rears should look like a regular eye-bolt type of shock mount. They also have a **** on the side of the body that goes to 8 for damping adjustment instead of the top rod adjuster, and the spring mount is larger.

there are some on their way to people's houses right now, the back one's are wrong, from today onward he'll be shipping the right back ones but there are some on transit as we speak...those that receive them between today and maybe friday should send them back (back ones). I'm trying to find out how he wants to do this as far as paying you guys back money or u guys refusing to pay shipping or whatever...

 

everyone sending back back shocks, please send back asap to receive your new ones back asap. He will send back a check worth the amount u paid for shipping. To play it even safer, also send a receipt showing how much u paid for shipping although it should be shown on the box already.

 

can someone post the correct part number for the front shocks.. just so I can avoid sending just the backs back only to find out three days after that i needed to send the fronts back too.. thanks..

i'm adding you to the list but yea, you were supposed to contact me first before sending payment. What if the group deal was full and you couldnt get a set of shocks and you had to go through a large hassle to get your money back? its all good though, your added.

 

I just sent both rear struts back so hopefully i'll get the correct ones soon. I'll be sure to let everyone know when I get 'em.

sup raf, he must have gotten it by now but you gotta remember, you are not only on the opposite side of the country but he's also trying to get the right one's from the distributor but is waiting to get the old one's back which he has received most. He doesnt really update me on when he receive's payments, just sends out the shocks when he gets payments. If you want to confirm that he has received your payment, email me or him, if u email me i'll call him and ask (give me your name) if u email him, he would let u know faster...
