Big Brakes

does anybody want big brakes for $899.00, plus shipping? look here for pic. www.precisionbrakes.com/maxima.html just need 9 people. this kit offers great looks, with crossdrilled and slotted for low price, 13" rotors. $100 off normal price.

superlite 4 piston calipers are available for about $90 more. i believe this 4 piston caliper will work with stock master cylinder, the 6 piston caliper will probably need a new master cylider. ( YOU WILL HAVE TO CHECK IT FOR YOURSELF, I DON'T KNOW)don't get yourself in trouble by getting this big 6 piston caliper unless you are ready to modify if needed, just a friendly warning.
superlite 6 piston calipers are available for about 360 more. these are round about estimates, maybe a little more, just to give you guys some options. they will be discounted 10 percent.
i know the superlites are more powerful than the dynalites, but for the money they are still better than stock.
also powdercoating is available $30 for front of calipers and 50 for entire caliper. 3-5 weeks to your door. 2 piece rotors are available for 180 more.

I have this kit. Found the guys at precision to be really helpful and responsive too. Have about 10k miles on the kit with no rotor problems, etc.

Picture here.

Its nice!!! Just be aware that you might need spacers when going to a big brake kit. I would also have them throw in an additional set of pads for them to have on hand in the future (save shipping).

Laters!

    big brakes

come on guys i need to hear from you, don't let this die out.
we need a few more people.
keep this in mind, when you have big wheels, those stupid stock size rotors, make the car look, uhh, you know what i mean. i have had them for 4 years. the other kits will cost around 2k or more. if you have any questions just email nick, at precisionbrakes. thanks guys, and i hope this is a great and successful group buy we can talk about for a long time. after we get a few more people i will email evevryone with the good news.

The precision kit has slightly bigger rotor, and an option for 6 piston, which I intend to take advantage of with the group pricing.

I'm in if it'll clear my rim - 18x8.0 Racing Hart but it has a lip on it =( Also, I have to decide which color powdercoating to get? Or maybe even the polished caliper...heheh

Since the Precision kit uses Dynalite calipers, we should have ~0.5" more clearance over the Superlite calipers which the Fastbrakes kit uses.

whats the offset of the racing harts? and which design are they? You can always use spacers to get that extra clearance too

35mm offset; Type-CR. There were 3 caliper clearance options to choose from - highdisk, lowdisk, & superlowdisk. Since I didn't think I'd be getting big brakes, I chose the lowdisk option over the highdisk for less clearance but deeper lip. Hmm...gotta go down to the garage and start measuring...

get some 5mm spacers and you should probably clear. the spoke design doesnt look to be a problem because they don't curve in, your only issue would be how deep the lip is.

    Stupid question....

Why are the superlites $90 more, when they're actually CHEAPER than the Billet Dynalites?
Are they the Superlite IIA or the Superlite III?

Are you sure Matt? I think the superlites are the more expensive ones. According to www.raldes.co.uk (scroll down the center of the page and click the Wilwood link for brochures and reading material), the new Superlites are ~30 English pounds per caliper more expensive than the Dynalites. That equals roughly $90 more for the pair.

Also, which pads is everyone planning to get? I'd prefer some longer lasting ones....

    What a great deal!!!!

I wish I never bought the Stillen/AP kit. This kit is a much better deal. Granted the Stillen/AP kit have bigger calipers but everything else is the same. If I could turn back time, I would go with this kit with 4 pistons/2 piece rotors option.

Just to let you know. I spoke to Nicholas at Precision brakes and have paid up. If there is a group deal, I will get he GD price, if not then I have to pay full price. I am getting my kit either way! Please get 10 people together .... well I guess it is 9 now!

I also ordered the master cyclinder and proportioning valve as options and slotted only rotors cos I don't like crossdrilled. Good luck guys!

So....I just ordered exactly what I think some

folks here were asking for from Precision Brakes....call them up, ask for Jonas, tell him I sent u and that u are from Maxima.org

My order was for the two-piece 12.9" rotors -not the other 12.2" rotors from other kits, the billet 4-piston Superlite caliper, lines and the 'Q' compound pads. And the rotors are completely plain, no holes nor slots...I want zero noises, thank u very much.

I promised Jonas I would not tell/say the price but if you call him up, tell him you want the same price he gave me. List price is just under $1400.00 but...I got it for less than that...somewhere between 1250 and 1300. There -I didnt say it -but I kinda did
