question

how much does it cost on average to have somebody at an upholstering place install a kit like this? How difficult is it to install? I know its time consuming, but can a person with no experience in this area install this fairly easily?

installation...

Dear DR0832,

The install on all generations of Maximas are very straight forward, but also time consuming. I would say the average installation fee for a Maxima interior with door inserts would be $400.00. You could probably find it cheaper as well more expensive depending on where you live. Most of the enthusiasts on this board have done their own installs and I have not heard of anyone that was not able to complete the job successfully. We provide tech support over the phone for FREE.

take a look at this thread for more information.

The sale is supposed to end on March 31st... I will try and extend it to the end of May though.

The suede price is for all 4 inserts in suede.

UPS Ground shipping to Canada is $40.00.

Please keep me up to date. If you extend it to may, that would be really good. If not, then I'll try my best to get the money before the 3/31 deadline.

I think it would be a great idea to extend this until the end of May. I would definitely buy a kit by then. I think many others would be able to purchase one too. Please keep us up to date on the situation.

Thanks.

Dear Members,

GREAT NEWS... the group buy will be extended through the end of May as you all have requested.

As for insert style... Flat just means that the inserts will be smooth as opposed to the gathered or wrinkled look. Perforation is just an option you can add to the flat option.

Thanks,
Eric

Install question

For areas around the power seat switches and stuff, do you need to remove the switches or do you just push it under the switch?

leather install...

Dear Revigh,

You just remove the plastic shrowding that the switches are integrated into. I believe that is only 2 to 3 screws. You don't have to take the switches or wiring out at all.

Thanks,
Eric

Dear Members,

I don't know if we will be patterning the quad buckets option on then New 6th Gen Maxima... I think they will all come with leather. That sort of compromises the marketability. However, if there is substantial interest in it I can try and make it happen for you guys.

Seat heaters are $129.99 per kit at retail... they are $99.99 per kit for Maxima.org members.

Thanks,
Eric

one more... and color question

i will be purchasing a set for my 2k gxe when the tax money comes in and i sell my mustang (hopefully all before the beginning of May).

i have the dark charcoal, or dark graphite (whichever it's called). that is a mix of dark grey cloth and black vinyl. i would like a "more black" interior.

is there a full black version of this kit available? do you think that would look good, or is the dark graphite option that is listed in the other thread generally considered to look better?

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Jacob,

Dark Graphite and Black are very close in color/shade. You can use either color in the Dark Charcoal interior, but Dark Graphite is closest to the factory leather color.

Dear Chris,

The 2 extra embroideries are $50.00 per set. Nissan is not allowing anyone to use their company logo anymore.

Thanks,

I don't know why but Nissan just started cracking down... it may be related to the fact that they have a brand new logo.

Are there any installers within a reasonable distance from 08620? Also, how much does it typically cost to get installed.

Eric is back by the way. The people I listed are very familiar with the kits, but you can actually take them to any upholstery shop it town so if you find a better deal somewhere else for install you can go with them. Upholstery shops would be all familiar with this and any person that has any upholstery experience should be able to handle this.
