Has there ever been a GD on JWT ECU upgrades? Can we have one? Please?

 

It would be awesome to get a group deal to JWT for the 97-98 ECU to maybe spark motivation.... I wonder how many people would be ready to pay for a ECU if they came out tomorrow for 97-98???

 

i would, i'm tired of all the 95/96ers having the chance to upgrade. while the rest of us have to get another ecu and then upgrade (i'm a 97). quick, simple and no hassle.

 

I would be in if they could upgrade the 97 ecu .

 

I down if you can get them for 96...

 

I'm 100% in and have the money RIGHT NOW if there's a 98 application.

 

Werd.....And the hopeful lack of CEL would be a nice plus.

If he can get ahold of JWT - I've sent them 5 or 6 E-mails this year, and never once gotten a repsonse.

 

I just figured it would be nice to have a for sure list.... so far 6 ppl is over $3000 sale ..... if we had a real big list, you never know ... worth a shot

 

I'd be down as well, as long as it worked for my 98. But from the looks of it and from what I've read over the years, they really don't care bout us...

Prodeje79: did you contact JWT yet? Or are you going to wait for more confirmed orders? perhaps a post in 4th gen might be in order to get more attention to this matter?

I'm in also if there is a 97 specific one that doesn't set off a CEL. I have a 96 ECU going out to JWT to be reprogrammed. But I guess I could sell that and get the 97 specific one.

I'm a '99 SE-L also but I want one.

 

hmm not sure, I heard 1999s do not work, what makes SE-L different from other 1999s ? Check around and post if you find out. Otherwise please only post if you want a 97-98 for now :>

What about the 99 Maxima

 

I'm pretty sure the SE-Ls at least, and maybe all 99s, have a harness that is similar to the 2000-2001. Thus 97-98s are not compatible.

Either way, I'd buy one right now if they were available for a SE-L.

good luck dude.

the 97/98s are totally wack on the inside of the ECU case.
the 97s are different from the 98 which are different from the 99s


JWT is not going to put the effort to manufacture a daughtercard for three different years. im sorry. but thats just a reality.

the only reason the 95/96s were golden is because they share the same platform for the ECU...

 

Whatever happened to your friends at Under Pressure coming through with a 98/99 ECU??

And what EXACTLY is the problem with using a 96 JWT reprogram on a 98 except for the CEL? Honestly a CEL isn't that bad of a deal with me as long as I get the best out of my MEVI.

 

Nothin - and I think it's totally worth a CEL.

 

So.... I can have them program an 96 ECU for my 98... and have a CEL as the only downside?

Has anyone gotten an ECU with the larger injector program? Does anyone HAVE larger injectors?

 

I dunno about a 98 - but it sounds like it would work...



Glad i bought a 97.

 

in my opinion - I wouldn't want to always have in back of my head that something else might be wrong with my car cuz CEL always on, i won't know, unless i check every month or so. If i have a CEL problem with car, i'd like to know about it asap....not to risk any other problems or damage that can occur to car.
