I got the pictures straight from the vendor and he did mention on the email that they look similar to HKS.

 

It does, I thought it was a superdrager for a moment. I guess they have a new design...I hope it's not louder than the last one.

 

The 5 cat backs have been ordered and I have received all the payments. I'll let you guys know when they ship out.

What about the 2nd set of Orders. I have put my name down for one for my SE-L. Do you have enough? Do you need the money sent? Can you answer any of these questions? Not to rush you but no news is nerve racking

 

Once I get all five participants, I'll ask everyone to send in their money. The cat backs will be ordered from the manufacturer once all 5 participants pay. The vendor will receive them in 5-6 days after the order is placed. Once received, they will be shipped.

I'm feeling a little uneasy right now. Nealoc187 has got some azzhole telling him that he can't get an OBX exhaust, the picture on meccanoble's homepage does'nt match the one the "vendor" provided, granted the vendor's matches the Hiroshima Style on the website. If they are'nt going to ship soon could you get a whole spec list so we have something to drool over while we wait.

I mentioned that difference back on page 2 of this thread but just assumed that its a new design silar to the greddy evo.

 

How can a Greddy Evo with the same part number fit all 5th Gen's but the OBX fits 00-01 but not 02-03?

I was under the impression that that all 5th gen catback exhausts were the same.

Just checked the cattman site, b pipe a muffler rear section (which is what a catback consists of) is the same for all 5th gens.

Somebody please verify this because if I'm right this will open this GD up to the 02-03's.

 

I asked the vendor which in turn asked the manufacturer and they told him that it would not work on a 02-03.

Are the O2 sensors in the same place for all generations?

 

Can any one who already has this exhaust comment on it's sound? Is it comparable to a quieter exhaust like the apexi n1? or is it pretty loud (like it'll wake everyone up at night) like the greddy exhaust? any feedback would be great, thanks.

 

I do not own it (yet) but those who have it say that it is quieter than the greddy is. I really haven't heard it compared too much to the apexi, but for 100 bucks less, who really cares if it's a tad louder?

damn OBX sucks...i ordered a pulley 2 weeks after the exhaust prolly...my pulley is on its way.

the color of my car is SuperBlack but with the 5th gen paint problems, I have so many rock chips on the hood and front bumper that I renamed it SuperChipped.


I didn't know OBX was that slow.
