GD:*TEIN S Tech Springs!!!* 5th Gen. $160+shipping..

OK guys,

This is good news, I just got confirmation on the price from a distributor and we need 10 buyers. This is for Nissan Maxima 2000+ 5th generation A33 body. Tein springs are made in Japan and drop 2.2(front) and 1.6 (back). MSRP on the springs are $230+shipping, but I got the deal for $160+shipping. We already have two on the list. This springs drop the lowest and the most even drop on your maxima.

The sooner the better because I believe he is going to run out.
$160+shipping, (2.2)front & (1.6)back.
BTW if you are from So. California pick-up is possible.
Also, I do not work or have to do anything with the distributor, I just got happy thinking that if this does go through I also can get it for $160.

I cant make up my mind between these and the Maxspeeds. These are $160+shipping and the Maxspeeds are only $92 shipped.

I know it's a hard decision, first I was thinking about getting maxspeed for the cost and the ride. But, I went ahead and got H&R springs because I trust the name more than the maxspeed. After installing, I loved the ride, but I wanted the car to be lowered more than what it is now. As a result, I am going for TEIN so I don't end up regreting and buy another spring later on. I have a friend who has the Tein S Tech springs and compared to what he had (eibach) he said the drop is better and ride is not that bad. Stiff or stiff just as the eibachs.

Most people just bought springs from previous GD. Let the GD end a few more weeks and you will have many more people in the end. Just put me down as interested for now.

I'm "interested" as well. I have the Maxspeeds in, and am starting to wish I had a lower drop...since the ****** Stillen front lip isn't available yet.

1) What struts would we need to compliment the springs? I'm not staying on stock struts.
2) What are the payment options (Visa, MC, Amex, Paypal, Check, Money Order, etc)?
3) What's the shipping ETA. Do they ship as we pay for them, or when the 10th person pays?
4) What else would we need to install them (besides the tools)? Things like camber kits, bolts, etc.

It depends much on your preference. If I really want to lower my car, I'll probably get http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....postid=1969876

I am too a GD purchaser for the KYB GR-2. I have H&R and Tokico blues on right now. Hate the struts. But I love the springs, H&R gives a nice smooth ride but I want something lower, therefore, I am going with Tein and KYB GR-2 setup. There is a thread about this set-up on the 5th gen. forum. As far as Camber, I think I am just goin with Camber bolts.

Limsandy: I believe they come in green, but don't quote me on this. May be someone who has them can help me out. I personally don't care what color they come in as long as I have them.

Madd Kidd: I guess until we have our 10 people, but I want these springs as soon as possible.
May be you can help me out and spread the word around so people can join.

I'm in. I just wish I could get them in black. Or blue. But why green? Either way, I'm in. But I'd REALLY REALLY REALLY like them in black (for the hidden look).

2 Questions:
1) Since I'm in on the KYB GR2 GD as well, will I need a camber kit as well? If so, which one should I get?

2) Anyone in the Orlando/Tampa area wanna help me install these bad boys when they get here?

Ok studman,
I have you listed on page 1. I don't think they have black because if you visit the webpage-- www.tein.com the pictures show green springs. Now I am not sure if they make different colors, but if they do I will make sure I get black for you. As far as the camber plates, I have read on the forum that people had no problem with the alignment, but I am going to put camber bolts on. May be someone can help us out here..

Also, Please send me an e-mail with your:
1.Name
2.Address(with zip-code)
3.Phone# and e-mail address

Thank You

Please tell us what colors are available and I'll get back to you. I'm also in the GR2 GD. Seems like a few of us have the same set up.

I am still waiting for the vendors call on the shipping price. all the people who gave me your zip code will find out how much the shipping charge is. Also, I will have the store ship it out to you guys.!!
I asked him about camber bolt/plate, but again still waiting for his call

I'm out. My local speed shop can get me the springs for $165 (including tax). So unless shipping is less than $5, I'm gonna back out of this one.

BTW... they said the spring/strut install is $160 + tax. So after you try Firestone and others, check with a local speed shop to see if they can do it cheaper. Just my $0.02 worth.
