gauging interest on hood strut demand...

well,
i'm sure many of you have weak or dead hoodstruts. mine were pretty bad for a while until i finally got replacements. currently, i'm a student but will be out of school in two weeks. my summer job is for a jeep parts company but i get a good deal on StrongArm hoodstruts. i've seen them sell on ebay for huge prices so that clued me into there being a demand for them. i know autozone had a national backorder on them for a while. so, what i'm wondering is, if i can get these for a good price, how many of you are interested? i'll look up how much they cost now from most places and post that as soon as i get some numbers.

let me know if you're interested because i could very well start this within the next few weeks if there is a demand. hopefully i can get you guys a good deal.

how much would people be looking to spend or what do you think is a good price?

Count me in. (depending on price) I used a plunger to keep my hood up last time.

does anyone know the prices most places charge for these? cuz i want to be able to sell to you as cheap as i can as long as i still make a little for all the effort and work. if some people could find/list some prices they've found, that would help me to work it out faster. thanx

Most people seem to point to this store:
http://www.partsamerica.com/SelectPa...artNumber=4524

Part#4524 - www.partsamerica.com - Made by StrongArm - $17.49/each

So they are about $36 +tax at local advance auto parts store, or $36+$5 shipping = $41.00 from their website.

I'm intersted if you can get something cheaper then that

hope this helps.
btw they give a lifetime warranty on these.

i know i can get them cheaper than that, but the shipping might make it about the same. i called them and they're calling me back sometime this week to let me know if we should actually bother or not. cuz in reality, it might be just a lot of work and not be worth all the time and efforts in profit you know? so...hopefully i can work it out and get you guys these as cheap, but also make enough back for all the work it's gonna take. i'll keep you informed as i find out.

What are you talking about? It says $32.99 EACH so that's $66 plus shipping if you buy from that site.

well everyone,
i'm done with school after this week and will be working at the place that i got mine from. they're not sure if they want to do a group deal, or do all the work for that matter cuz it might take a lot of effort and they might not make enough in return for it to be worth it to them. but, if i want, i can buy a bunch of sets from them at a decent price and do all the work myself. this could be a pain, but might be worth it. depending on how much shipping is for them, i could probably do it at $40 shipped. it's not final and i'm not positive yet, but that's what it will most likely be. sorry i have to keep delaying, school has just really taken up all of my time.
i know i won't be able to do the lifetime warranty that the other place does. i think they're covered for a year but the company but should definately last longer than that. they're not the cheap ones like autozone sells, they're StrongArm ones. so, if everyone is still interested, like i said, i'm starting there next week so let me know if i should still bother trying. thanx
