Hello, i do have a bumper of identical style. But it was purchased from VIS racing.com. Now my question is, Do you fabricate these yourselves? Do you buy them from a distributor? Just wondering if you get them from the same place as vis racing in southern california.

VIS COPIED THE KIT. WHENEVER YOU COPY SOMETHING,AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU
DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BUILT THE MOLD CORRECTLY,IT SHRINKS AND EITHER IT DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY OR LEAVES GAPS. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS ,THAT EVERYTHING
LOOKS GOOD ON PICTURES ,AND PEOPLE HAVE THE TENDENCY TO BELIEVE THAT IT IS
THE SAME KIT,BUT BETTER PRICE. I URGE PEOPLE TO ALWAYS ASK,ASK,ASK,ASK.
CHECK WITH FRIENDS,ACCESSORY STORES THAT INSTALLED KITS AND KNOW WHICH ONES
FIT GOOD.EVEN SOME NEW URETHANE KITS THAT SOMEONE STARTED BUILDING RECENTLY
CAN HOLD THEIR SHAPE WHILE ON THE SHOEROOM FLOOR.(THEY WARP,BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE OF VERY SOFT GUMMY PLASTIC)A FEW MONTHS OUT IN THE SUN,AND THEY
LOSE THEIR SHAPE.

I bought my kit from Spoiler, ect. and it DID NOT fit really well. BUT, most kits never fit relly well without some fitting and moddifing. I did not like the way the kit fit when it came out of the box. It looked very cheap.
After some fixing up I got it to where it looks great and I get a ton of compalments on the car.
you can see the difference in my kit (after I moddified it) to the factory Spoilers, ect. or VIS (which comes from Spoilers, ect. (they did make it first)
I know because I have been looking at the kit for a long time.
Click on my sig pic to see more pics.

I am sorry to here that you had some small problems. As you said, some minor
things/adjustments might from time to time be needed for a true perfect
installation. The important thing is not to have to do cutting and extenting
and major modifications. That's what will kill you on labor charges from the body shops.Your car looks really sharp!!!!!

I agree, but what I am saying is that the kit should fit alot tighter. The kit is far from being symmetrical. The edges that fit up to the car were way off and needed lots of manufactering to get it to fit right. I took alot of labor to get the kit right without all the extra manufactoring. But I am a perfectionist.
"ALL KITS ARE THAT WAY" most shops put them on with very little additional work, but you can tell that it has a aftermarket body kit. I wanted something to look like it was made for my car directly or came from factory that way, not kinda fit.
If I had to do it again I would do it the sameway...no regrets.
But I had to make molds for the side skits and rear bumper and mine came out exacty identical. I can't see why companies like yours can't do the same with the kit.
NOTE: If you work for Spoilers, ect tell your guys to take it easy on the grinder when removing the kit from the mold. I had to add on stuff that your guys grinded off too much. And don't grind out the rear vents leave them complete so that the shop can cut it open where they want. (i reversed them)
Sorry for such a long reply

Thanks for the feedback. We also face another problem with new or used cars
that a lot of people do not believe.Tolerance from the manufacturers. In
many cars it is extemely bad.For example,i had customer that came with his
brand new Integra (had the dealer tags, with 120 miles)complaining that his
left side was short. In front of the customer,we measured wheel to wheel from both sides, and they had 3/4 inch difference!!!Brand new car, never in an accident.I am willing to bet, that if somebody starts measuring precisely
a car (even a brand new one, never on an accident) ,will find differences.

slight imperfection with teh front bumper when the hood is closed..you gotta look for it. and also when you open the hood, the paint comes off on the area where the hood comes down onto the bumper. really bad quality pic but this is from before..i dont have a digicam..i had it scanned onto the computer some more pics hope it helps
notice under the hood..right headlight on the left side of it where the hood meets the bumper..theres a lil gap there.

Having to do do 30 minutes body work,is totally different from having to
do hours of body work. That is why the best thing is to get a quote from
some local shops, and visit them to see their work.Ground dynamics also copied the kit. They even had our picture taken from the internet(they said
that they were going to remove it).By the way local distributors should know which kits fit good and which ones do not.So play it safe and be covered since you can not make up your mind.Get an installed kit quote.

This is not the first car that I have put a kit on. (I have done 6)
ALL kits do not fit perfect. Most people put the kits on with very little additional work. SO most kits that you see on cars now a days are basiclly put on the way they come.
All I was saying is that I don't care for the way any kit comes from any of the venders. I think that they all can be made better...but then I inagine that they would cost much more.
This is the 3rd kit that I have done from Spoilers, ect. and if I had to do another car I would more than likely go with them again. But, I did modify every kit that I have bought from them. I want my kit to look like it came from the factory that way.
If you want that kind of look...You will not get it from anyone's kit.
The GD is a good price. Remember I am a perfectionist. If I am going to do it, I am going to do it right.

And something else on how to chose places to buy.Check the better business
bureau. There are quite a few companies that promise the skies, but they
have so many complaints and unanswered disputes on their record.Whatever
shines is Not gold (ancient Greek saying)

go UPS for about $50.00.

Dennis..theres a huge flaw in your kit man. the back bumper flares out tooo much in the back and takes up too much space. the wheels are in and the bumper comes out a lot. can a shop fix this?? i really want to get it fixed and everything.

Guys, i think the body shops are overdoing it a little.Maybe Houston is
very cheap,i don't know. A very good installation and paint work costs
around $550.00 to $650.00. Maybe we have a lot of experienced inexpensive
labor! But over a $1000.00 seems a lot to me.I wonder how
much this body shop would have charged, to put on one of
the cheap imports,if he had to cut it and extend it and
fill all the bad spots in the kit
