Alright guys all the wheel shipments are in.
Could I see a picture of these wheels to see how different they are? I don't want to make a $1600 purchase and not get what I expect.

^^^ I have seen immitation volks and I am now concerned as well this is what we are getting. I dont want anything "JDM", USDM is perfectly good enough Volk Rim for me. If these are Jays Engineering rims....then they are not for me.

Even if they are genuine, if they don't look like what I believe they look like... I don't want them. I like them because of how they look...

^^ LOL, yeah they make hondas, toyotas and nissans in Japan, doesnt mean when they get to the US they are JDM. Eitherway, unless these are real volks and look like real volks, well I want to make sure they are real so I can buy them

Do you think you could tell the difference in a picture ?? Probably not, The first person to actually receive should have them authenticated. but ... he said they were already different, so .. what will that really mean and what is the difference ? even if they are genuine ??

Check out this website:

http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/emenu/wheel.html

The only difference that I can see is that the white one has a large P.C.D) basically the center opening and then the 19inch bronze (last pic) looks as if the the spokes are sliding a little towards the inside versus the other that are out...i dont' know if that just because of the different offsets or if i'm just imagining things, but the last pic looks a lot better. After seeing the USDM wheels on mackin industries website there doesn't seem to be any difference.

http://www.mackinindustries.com/te37.html

Any thoughts???

It is the different offsets that you're seeing. TE37s look different on Supras and 350zs compared to maximas. If you'd like some real life pictures, take a look at my, Iilac, matt calder, and I know there's a blue one in LA with gunmetal ones too, but I can't remember his name. The arms basically look pretty close to straight up and down with a bit of a curvature to them with our offset.

As long as the Volks have the factory label on the inside of the rim and the Rays Engineering/Volk Racing stickers on the outside, they are genuine. I'm pretty sure this is a genuine deal.

These are real and they are the correct spec. I have a list of email addresses of people that have bought these wheels from my distributor and can vouch for both him and the validity of these wheels.

Otherwise if you want off the list PM me and let me know.

jdm = japan domestic market
usdm = us domestic market
duh ? that statement does not mean anything ... unless you have specs to back that statement up ! What I want to know is "are these us dot rated or racing use only ? with that said, what are 'those' specs ? saying they are JDM only means that they are not sold here by the manufacturer. I only wanted to go up to a 17 x 8 in SSR for $1500; but with this offer,OMG ... 18 x 8.5 (te37 = 16.5 lbs). I'd be crazy to pass it up, but still hesitant ... sounds too good to be TRUE !! somebody pinch me !!

JDM as in you can't buy these versions in the states. With that said the differences on the JDM package appears to be the markings on the inner lip of the rim (where the air valve is). Meanwhile on the US versions it's blank. The picture below is a US spec courtesy of Tony. =)

As for the specs, they are the same. 18x8.5 40mm offset 5x114
I don't know what else to tell you.

Also for those of you who haven't paid yet, your rims are sitting in the warehouse ready to be shipped. So the longer you wait the longer it'll take to get your rims. Again for those of you who want to be removed from the list PM me. And if you're ready to pay PM me as well. So get your credit card ready or whatever and lets get this moving before my distributor looses faith and raises the prices because he thinks this group deal is not gonna happen.

To answer someones question about purchasing 17's my distributor says he'll do it for the same price. So it's worth your while to probably just get the 18's since they are the same price.

I'm still waiting matt on his answer to your question about buying just one wheel. But you might wanna rethink just buying one cause the JDM versions look a little different from the american market. I mentioned this difference in an above earlier post.

For those of you on the list I will be sending you a PM so check for that as well. I have new information about shipping.

Okay I'm sober now... Ummmm I'd still like to buy these in a month if that's possible but I'm thinking that's not very likely eh? I REALLY don't want to put these on a credit because then something will come up and the cash will have to be spent elsewhere and then I'll be really pist. Argh. Okay, I dunno. Bah.

YEAH! After your springs, (then a set of struts), and these wheels... I think I'll be done with modding for a while... I'm hoping the mod bug will subside some.

Hmmmmm, so the only difference is that there is writing around the lip of the wheel. Is there anyway you can get US versions or just the JDM versions.

Thanks

volk te-37's don't come in 19s. But if you are interested in a particular rim let me know and i'll ask for you.

Matt => I don't think he can get US versions of the wheel. But I will ask.

JBL => I think he's trying to resolve some issues with paypal. I've suggested other means of credit card processing such as c2it by citibank. He has not responded yet.

JeffesonM => I asked for a quote on the 19's and am still waiting for a response. I'll keep you posted.

For those of you who have not made arrangments for payment PM me and let me know what your intentions are and if you wish to remain on the list. So far there have only been two people who have their finances in order and ready to go.

Wheels will be coming from tacoma washington.

Paypal is no longer available as to complications with transfering of large funds. Credit card processing will go through western union once his new account gets activated.

Also update to Matt=> USDM versions will be available as long as he has 5 confirmed buyers, meaning money ready to go. These he has to order through mackin directly. He is getting back to me on the one wheel deal.

For those of you who send payment in the form of money order or check by the end of this week, you will recieve your wheels before the 4th of july.
