The last time I checked, Triple8Sol is a "Needs non-Maxima Friends" member and Schuss is a "Donating Maxima.org Member". How is that?

limsandy: Thanks for the support. Hopefully other people see the 2nd post in this thread as well, and can see that I have been a Maxima.org member for a year now, while schuss has been a member for several years.

Re: GD: 2K-2K3 Tein S.Tech Springs
Hey, left coast. Do you have patience for an old guy with a couple of questions? I just got a '03 SE a couple of months ago. It's "bone stock" and I'm not up to speed on modding this thing. I would like to lower it. Your price looks great. Can I still use the stock shocks/struts (whatever it has!)? I know lowering it will make it look cool, but what will it do to the ride? I can take a pretty hard ride, but I'm curious. I'm not familiar with the brand either; I assume it's a "good one". Any advice/education for an old geezer would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure I want in on your group deal if it flies.

Yes, you can run lowering springs with stock struts. You won't have the same handling advantages that aftermarket struts would give you, but it will still be a noticable improvement - lower center of gravity, less roll in cornering, etc. As your struts are still fairly new, they should handle it nicely. There are many people here on the forum doing just that. Someone with older struts might want to consider replacing both systems at once. For a truly optimal suspension setup, you'll probably want to do both eventually, but it can certainly be done in parts, as well.
The Tein S-Tech's offer a more aggressive drop than the MaxSpeeds, the other really popular spring brand for 5th gens. They should all but eliminate the famous 5th gen wheel gap annoyance.
They will be a stiffer ride, but that's what comes with a sportier setup. We're not talking slammed-ghetto-civic stiff here, just sports car stiff, which will be a change from the max's sport/luxury ride, but in a good way. So far, no serious complaints, and everyone on the board still seems to have their teeth...
Tein has more pics on their site showing the drop on a 5th gen Max
Thanx for checking out the group deal. I hope you if decide Tein S-Techs are the right spring for you, LeftCoast Tuning can help you get them a at a great price! Feel free to post or email (sales@leftcoasttuning.com) if you have more questions.

Left Coast - no action since last Friday. Does that mean that this GD is dead? Any update in status will be appreciated
