Caliper Paint Kit VHT 2 Colors GD

One can is enough to do 4 calipers, The coats you put on are thin layers(do not put on thick). The kits are VHT (manufacturer)and is a spray kit. The kit includes Brake cleaner,Rust reformer,Cleaning Brush and the Caliper Enamel. This product is not a 2 part epoxy so will tend to crack & chip more often compared to the more expensive FoliaTec-esque paint, but for this price it's hard to pass up.

You can get the same color or two different ones if you would like. The colors are: Black, Blue, Silver, Red, Orange or Yellow

1 color 2 color
5-9ea 17.00 22.00
10-19ea 16.00 21.00
20+ 15.00 20.00
all are plus shipping.

The guy I'm getting these kits thru can send them to each person but would need to know the city & zip to get you a cost for shipping. He accepts the following as payment: Cash, Bidpay, Money order or Personal checks. After you are put on the list PM with all your personal information then once the GD is over I'll send everyone his contact info of where to send your payments.

meccanoble - One can is enough to do all 4 calipers is what this guy has told me in his emails. I wouldn't think if you bought 2 cans they would be any smaller, but I'll ask just in case. I'll also see how many coats he recommends.

SeOH2mAx - As soon as I get another response I'll post all the shipping info, but it may be cheaper for me to get it in bulk then send it out.

2k2PhatMax - take your time, you'll have atleast a week to think about it depending on how fast this deal moves.

Can you ask if they have that rusty gold color that some brembo brakes have? If they've got that color, I'm in. Thanks.

Is there a website where we can see the colors? Also, I assume this is FoliaTec-esque paint, not a spray? I might be interested in a kit or two.

Alright guys, I'll be updating this thread tonight with all the new information.

Looslip he doesn't have the gold you wanted. The closest he has is yellow.

Mizeree_X - There is no website, but the manufaturer of the paint is VHT and no the paint is a spray and not FoliaTec-esque paint.

He says to put on thin lays not too thick and they tend to crack & chip more often since it is a spray. If anyone else knows of a better deal we can get that isn't spray you're more than welcome to post it here. Just let me know if you guys are still in, but I think this paint will do just fine.

that sentence makes no sense??..im confused...ALSO does the kit come with a brush to put it on?...i assumed that would get the paint on there more neatly then spraying...

Well isn't the FoliaTec-esque paint the better of the two that last a lot longer and doesn't crack. I know it cost like $50 and this GD is for the cheaper stuff that may not last that long. Sorry about my grammer. I cut and past a lot.

No it doesn't come with a brush to apply the paint. The brush is for cleaning the caliper, but you can go pic up one from Lowes for like a $1. I hope this helps. I don't know too much about painting calipers, but I ran across this deal and thought I'd post it.

I bought a FoliaTec kit for $35 + shipping at www.autobarn.com. Maybe if someone sets up a group deal with them, we can get them for $35 shipped or less. Just a thought.

http://store.yahoo.com/rodi/brakcallaqse.html I'm just going to buy this kit. Looks like this deal isn't going to be a very good quality kit. Plus this one would be shipped faster and easier to get.

FYI, I have researched the topic a bit and have heard good things about the VHT caliper paint. Its somewhat hard to find, however. Did the supplier have any VHT clearcoat to go along with the colors?
