VQPowerSE you can call him anytime.. as soon as he gets 20 paid for orders he will ship out the weatherflectors. he is keeping a folder with all the orders and info, as soon as he gets all the orders, then he will process payment. but not until he gets ALL the orders in.

hey everyone

finally 20 orders. i just talked to mike from autobarn and he said that he need ALL of the orders placed by next Thursday. we now have a deadline so try to get the orders in asap. what he needs from us is a copy of drivers liscence, copy of creditcard (front and back), and the year of the car you want them for. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT put the gen down. just the year.

Chillinmax, I was just about to post the same comment. I really don't feel comfortable faxing over my license and credit card impression to a total stranger... I am paranoid about identity theft etc.

i dont know fellas. I will call and ask if there is some other way to do this, but faxing my info over like that is a no-no. If i have to, ill buy them @ full price myself. but ill let u fellas know

 

n i think Staples charges $3 for a fax...correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't see why we'd have to fax our info to him when he should be reachable thru the 800 line?? Please let us know what other options there are.

 

i dont know..this is what he told me to send. i thought that the drivers licsence part was sketchy.

well, how do you pay for items bought on their websight?.. do they have paypal on their sight?
i checked on their sight and they do no have paypal nor do they have a license copy policy.. i dunno.. i hope these guys can work with us.. 'cause i most def do not want to pay full price for these babies.
if Mike gets a few calls from us wondering why the fax and the license copy maybe they can work around it.

 

in all my years of buying stuff, i've never heard of someone needing a picture of my license and credit card FAXED. Its usually telephone, credit card number, and woopdie doo. Im not trying to accuse, but i dont like the sound of this. Unless paypal is included in this thing I think we should look elsewhere for the flectors. Since we have 20 confirmed orders, im pretty sure someone else will work w/our wishes =o)

looks like deal went kaput. I wonder if weathertech.com would be willing to sell at this price, considering their distributor was ready to sell at this price... If nothing works out, I will just keep my $70 and roll up my windows...

well i guess i spoke to Mike about the payment situation.. i guess they want the fax with the copies of CC and License in order to verify address.. he extended the deadline till tomorrow. but i guess we're not going to meet it.

 

I still don't understand why they can't accept payment another way. Sure it may be secure and all, but I really don't want to take that chance. Looks like other members don't want to either. I can't believe they won't accept payment any other way. Like Paypal which was mentioned before, or even money order. I would feel much more comfortable with one of these methods.
