Not to hijack Ange's thread. But which Hawk Pads did you get? HPS? I've put about 600 miles on my HPS/Brembo Cross Drilled combo now and it seems to have gotten even better with some break in! What is fade?? I DONO!! You'll love them.

Do yourself a favor if you can and get the Continental ContiExtremeContacts. 110 ea. and is an overall much better tire than the Sumitomos. My .02 though

If it helps, I got my ContiExtreme for 110 ea in 235/45 + ship ($29). Ordered Tues afternoon and it was at my door 4p Thursday. I dont know if you know but it has been raining hard on/off around nyc past couple of days and these tires simply amazed me with their wet handling. Also, if you have stock rims I recommend you get 235/45 or 225/50. 225/45 will make the wheels real small. If you are car is not lowered then fuhgitaboutit...your wheels will look real small....thats my .02....

Hawk HPS (Street) pads are $65/set. They only make front pads only.

chillinmax: I'm not Jane

ThurzNite: You may use Raybestos for the rear. Which pads you use for the rear brakes are overrated since most of the braking is done at the front.

Raybestos Quietstops (Rears) would cost you $42.50/set.
Axxis MetalMaster (Rears) would cost you $46.50/set

nissan5788, ][ 35: After quoting a few guys on some tires, you guys will save more money by ordering tires directly from Tirerack when it comes to tires because they don't offer much discounts for vendors, plus we have to pay for COD and shipping to us (they do not drop ship for vendors).

As I've mentioned on an earlier post...
you guys will save more money by ordering tires directly from Tirerack when it comes to tires because they don't offer much discounts for vendors, plus we have to pay for COD and shipping to us (they do not drop ship for vendors). With rims and other items however, I can definitely save you anywhere between 5-20% off Tirerack list price.

What about if I get tires mounted on with them? Will the tires be discounted? If yes can you recommend a tire for the wheels that are under $100 a tire? I have a 92 se.
