Redmax, I want some advice. I blew my airbag in the steering wheel and am thinking about the best way to fix it. I want to use the blown cover and cut it out for a tv. What tv do you suggest around 6-7inches with no buttons on the front(just plain screen) to go in my steering wheel and look good. By the way I used to live in Waldorf, MD...

 

two things:

1) I think I saw a ready-made steering wheel on eBay.
2) C'mon, a TV in the steering wheel???

I think what was really meant by "two day shipping" was "whenever we feel like bringing it to your house" Redmax...keep your head up. Bad things happen all the time. Just today I was on my yamaha r6 going to work and lost my wallet (with $110 inside) and cell phone. I forgot to zip my pocket on my jacket. Could have done some more mods with that money but oh well.

How are things with the car?

 

drew your was definately shipped, I have a delivery confirmation slip that i ship with each screen. So i can check that. MAxct yours came back to me. But i am coming to Connecticut tomorrow maybe we can meet up. I hjave pm you my phone # Sterling whats you real name? i don't remember right this second but i thought you were part of today's shipment.

About the car things right now are really bad. the other ins. co has not assumed liability as of yet and me I'm on disability I have to go for a catscan tomorrow

how do I hook up a switch to this tv? It has 3 wires...red, black and green(I think). It says that the red is power and black is ground and green(i think) is switch. But how do I hook it up. Im new at this so any help would be great!

 

jus run ur power wire to a switch then ur power wire on ur screen to the other prong on the switch then hard wire the ground and then thas it

 

oh and its not green its orange but twist the orange and then red together then connect them to the other prong on the switch

Ok I follow that concept...But what if the switch that I have has three prongs, not two?? Do I have the wrong switch? I bought 2 on/off toggle switches from radioshack...one has 3 prongs and the other has 2. So I twist the orange and red together and connect to one prong. Does it matter which one? and just tap into a ground wire for the ground correct? And for the inverter...I have one with a cig. adapter. I can just cut that adapter off and connect it directly to my batt. right? Not sure If I can tell which one is the positive side though. Sorry for the many questions but I don't want to mess anything up. This is a major install for me.

 

hey red max i guess i cant meet up with you, did you forget to ship mines?? my car is crashed and wont be fixed till monday or maybe tuesday, try to get it to me before then. Le tme know what your gona do.

 

wut i did is i ran a a wire to my + battery cable thing then i grounded another wire on a bolt in my engine bay..then i ran the 2 wires into the car then i conected to ground to the black on the screen... oh does ur switch have a light on it cuz if it does its jus the grounding for the light on the switch

My switch does not have a light. So no ground should be connected to the switch itself? Just the orange and red twisted together on one prong and a power wire(spliced from the car) on the other prong? And just ground the black wire.

 

oh yeah...does it matter which prong I connect to? I guess it doesn't since there is no ground on the switch right?

 

Corey, You are the man. Guys - this guy came out to my pad to hand deliver my screen. they said he was the best and now I know why. I will post pics of the install when I am done.
