Technosquare ECU upgrade GD availability- 99-2001 Maxima

Sorry about the title...
What I'm looking for is a group of people who will buy the Technosquare upgrade with the entire feature set (most of you know it- removed speed limiter, increased redline, optimized fuel and timing maps) for the current introductory price (stands at $495)
Obviously, based upon response from you all, I expect to be able to get a GD for all of us, or for some of you to try with me for one...

All of this assumes availability by mid-March (save that tax refund!!!)

A list would definitely be nice....

I really want an ECU upgrade from them but there is no listing for a 98...did they forget us? When this one does come out, will it work for 98's as well? I want an ECU, and with tax season here I will have the money for one, but I do not want a CEL once I install it. Is there anyone with a 98 and an ECU upgrade without a CEL?

Man that tax return has to be big: New 18 wheels with new rubber, CF hood, Tein Coilover, LowerBar and ECU.

Me interested for mid to end of march.

yo, i think 3/4 of the people on here would be down for one

i am definitely down for one with an increased rev limiter, etc. 495 is perfect. let me know if this happens. If it already exists, f*ck a group deal, i'll grab one right now.

I want an ECU upgrade for my 97, with a raised rev limiter...and no waiting for 2-3 months to get it back

Will the ECU be compatible with Supercharged 00's?

If so, I'm interested...

well good news guys, i talked to someone at technosquare (LONG DISTANCE ) and they told me they are starting the project once they get the donor car in or osmething like that. I'm glad they are going to actually work on this. I'm not desperate for one thats why i never ran after a brand new JWT (long wait) but if i can get one like same week or 2 weeks from now after paying, i would feel more comfortable and price is a good amount cheaper.

By testing I hope they mean dyno testing.
Mecca'-- did you indicate how many other people were basically lining up?
Also, I'm sure there are plenty of Cali Max owners on the org who can stop by the shop like right this minute (ok, maybe not this minute) and donate their ride for the cause. All we may need to do in theory is contact one of them....

I'm also interested in the upgrade. But I would be happy without the increase in rev limiter since I dont plan on getting MEVI anytime soon. Also if I could get it at that deal they had in december for $380 that would be real nice. But if they do come out with the new programmed ECU w/ higher rev limiter etc... i'd be down for that as well. Also for you '97s, where did you purchase your '95-96 ecus? I'm looking for a '96 5-Speed ECU. Car-parts.com? Thanks

Andy

Also i wasnt clear on if they started project already or if they were waiting for dyno.

Guess it matters how much you want something. Torrance Calif is nothing compared with S Melbourne Australia. That's where I was calling for Powerchip's info.

To anyone interested, just hit up the website:
www.technosquareinc.com

Shoot him (Danny Lee of T-S) an e-mail. If you have the time, give him a call (What'll he know? It will seem like 2 different people... )
If you REALLY have *****, try and get a definitive date out of him or find out exactly where they are in R&D (I asked for a date, but he couldn't give me one. However, they've been at this for about 4 months as far as I know)

If all the world should be worshipping your *****, its because you pressed him for a group deal and told him how many people are interested (I estimate about 10-15 at LEAST throughout the .org)

Hey, anyone who does any of the above is doin his part to get this product on the market-- you're alright with me.

No problem with the list. Just indicate your interest and year of your Max.

Bear in mind that the 99 Max ECU is fundamentally different from all the ones that preceded it, and in fact is far closer in functionality, etc. to the 2000+Maxima ECU (IIRC, also note the Technosquare website) Whether or not that means no ECU upgrade is being designed that will run in a 97-98 Max, I don't know. But the TS ECU upgrade seems to be for the 99-2001 Max.

So if you own a 99-2001 Max, and can have the money (around $495 w/o a GD) by Mid March (hoepfully) or so...
just post saying so, i'll add you to this list, and we can go to TS with it and ask for a GD.

I will call them tomorrow and let them use my 97' 5 speed as a test car if they want.

Edit. Im sorry, I wasn't paying attention to title of the thread but more so the content of the first post by RichMax. I have no intention of steping on the 99's toes by posting in here. My mistake.

For a 97-98 all you have to do is buy a 95-96 ECU with the same transmission from a junkyard and send it in. You will have a CEL. This does make it a hassle but at least it is available. It has taken them this long to get something for the 99's.

Hey guys, IceY2k1 and myself are working on the Technosquare ECU already, check out the sticky in the 5thgen forum. We already have a 5th gen test cars all lined up, that are just waiting to go in. Ice and myself have already sent in a 5sp and an Auto ecu for the cracking which was sucessful in Oct-Nov last year. We are just waiting for Danny to get caught up with his work so we can start sending in the test cars we have lined up.

but what about us 4th gens that want a removed rev limiter? But atleast your moves will help bring more people into the group deal which may get us an even better price

Check out this thread in the 4th gen forum for comments by Technosquare in regards to an ECU upgrade for the 97' Maxima.

99 fed spec 5 speed. I'd consider getting one, but probably couldn't afford one until fall of 04
