was it ever determined if these will fit the stock spoiler holes in the trunk?

 

No it will not. The legs will cover the holes but the actual holes do not line up. (Possibly may if you have one of the aftermarket OEM type spoilers but do not know which ones)

 

So this isn't a direct replacement for the stock spoiler? How much modifcation is required to install it?

 

I had an aftermarket spoiler. My shop welded up the old holes and re-drilled. I would have been the same to install any other aftermarket spoiler. You might be able to make it fit the old holes but its hard to say without matching up the new spoiler with the old holes you have. You have to look at it as getting a new spoiler.

Prophecy1 - The spoiler does not require any modification to fit. It is as straight forward as installing any other aftermarket spoiler, the shop should not charge extra for it. The legs of the spoiler fit over the holes but don't match up so they have to drill new holes.

MaXaZoR - I just want to clear up for those reading this thread so they don't think your order is taking three weeks to process. You paid by check, which obviously takes longer than paypal (which I ship immediately) and your initial check was not signed, so I had to wait for another one. I received the second check on the 12th and your spoiler was sent out the following week when the check cleared.
