BlehmCo 5th Gen Caliper relocation kit

Through March 18th, I'll be doing into pricing on my 2004 Rotor/5th gen caliper kit.

I will take 10% off the prices listed on my website for any orders placed by March 19th. After that, the prices will be set at those listed on the site.

For more information on the parts themselves, please visit my webpage:
http://www.mattblehm.com/relocation_kit.html

Prices and parts:

Ready-to-Install Kit: $365+ shipping (-10%) = $329 + shipping
kit without rotors: $145 + shipping (-10%) = $130 + shipping

Again, I can get slotted/crossdrilled rotors for the 2k4 now, for an additional $20: $385+ship (-10%) = $346.50

All contact info is listed on my webpage, or you can post questions here.
Thanks!

Yes, this is for the front only... I'm working on something for the rear, but it's proving to be more and more difficult every day. Once I get it figured out, you can surely bet that I'll be posting info on it!

so are you selling the relocation kit + rotor with the 300zx caliper?
or I need to use my oem 5th gen caliper?

exunaja, this kit will use your 5th gen caliper. It's designed to give you better brakes by using a larger rotor, yet still keep costs down by using the factory caliper. What I'm selling are the rotors and relocation bracket.

soundmike, I'll work on getting some tomorrow. don't have any in stock, but I'll see if I can get some pics from the vendors.

What info do you have on the slotted/crossdrilled rotors. Are the Zinc coated to prevent rust. $350.00 is better then paying $1,000.00 for a kit with the same size rotors.

the day we've all been waiting for

Matt93SE: Curious question, does braking power increase by the fact that the pads now sit at a further radius from the center, despite the fact that the pad size never changes?

ahh I got it now, so it does help the braking then or it help minimize the possibility of warping rotor, since it is very common in the early 5th gen max.

Guys, I'm checking on pictures for the crossdrilleds their office doesn't open for another few hours (stinking California companies!)..

geo1317, they won't fit the 4th gen calipers. 3rd and 4th gen calipers are too small, sorry.

The kit uses the 2004 Maxima rotor, which is 12.6" diameter, 28mm thick.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you guys yet.. spent all day outside tearing down my spare engine, cleaning the garage, and getting the car ready for autoX season..

Anyway, my paypal address is sales@mattblehm.com
please be sure to include the item you're sending $ for, your .org name, shipping address, etc with the payment. it doesn't take much to get me confused, especially when I've got 5 different brackets that look nearly identical on the shelf!

Geo, 5th gen calipers on a 4 gen is possible, but you'll have to do some drilling on your spindle. the bolt holes on 3 and 4 gens are 12mm diameter. the 5th gen uses 14mm bolts- which this setup is designed for.
If you want to drill your spindles out with a 14mm drill bit (9/16" is VERY close at 14.28mm) and buy some 5th gen calipers, be my guest. it will bolt right on, as I'm using a modified 3rd gen spindle to test-fit the prototypes in the garage. I dont' have the resources to find the calieprs for you though.

K Pazzo 6, you can use "regular" 5th gen SS brake lines for this kit. I'm not offering them simply because I can't get the same pricing as the other places that sell that stuff. you'd be better off going to some of the other brake parts places for them--- at least until I get my reseller's liscense, tax ID, and all that jazz.

no chance in hell. They don't even fit with 10mm spacers (i've tried) and also the 300zx tt rims can't even clear either.

Nismo, they should be shipping late this week or early next week. I'm not sure if they'll be here by the 19th, but I'll extend the intro pricing for people that confirm interest before then.

SkylineGTR, shipping will be $20 for rotors & brackets, or $8 for just the brackets and hardware.

What's the reason for the price difference between the 300z caliper kit and the 5th gen caliper kit?

300z kit:
Basic kit: $525 + shipping.
This includes:
New OEM 2004 Maxima rotors
All FOUR lines, not just the front lines. (Custom made for me by Goodridge brakes)
Caliper relocation brackets
All hardware necessary to install the kit

5th gen caliper kit:
Ready to Install Kit: $365 + shipping.
This includes:
New OEM 2004 Maxima rotors (Aftermarket Crossdrilled or Slotted rotors are now available for an additional $20)
Caliper relocation brackets
All hardware necessary to install the kit (nuts, bolts, & washers)

The only difference I can see is the ss lines.

The answer is in your post. The 300zx kit includes the calipers (thus called 300zx kit). You can refer to this page for what's included: http://www.mattblehm.com/300ZX_brakes.html

matt needs to clear up the confusion because the kit indeed does not come with 300zx calipers. At the bottom of his page he asks:

"want me to source 300zx calipers for you?"
price is $350 for remanufactured and rebuilt calipers in addition to the kit

Sorry about the confusion guys..

Yes, the difference in prices for each kit are because of the brake lines. the 5th gen relocation kit can use the OEM lines, or you can use any aftermarket SS line designed for the 5th gen. (highly recommended)

For the 300ZX kits, you must have custom lines to fit the Z calipers to the Maxima brake system, so I supply them as part of or the kit.

I'm updating the specs, pics, and numbers on my page to more clearly reflect the differences in the kits. Should be up and finished by this evening.
