VIS CF Hood Group Deal? (Interest)

Hey Guys, I'm trying to find out if there would be any interest in a VIS hood group deal for the 2000-2003 Maximas. I can get OEM or Invader Type 6, but I would probably need 5 buyers. Post up if you're interested!

Steve

I tried to see if anybody was interested in the Invader a couple months ago but no takers, so if you can get this going I'm down for one of those if the price is right.

And I make 5.... prices?

EDIT: actually, I have 2 questions. The whole point of a CF hood is the weight reduction. So how much does the VIS OEM style hood weigh? What does the stock hood weigh too?

Don't quote me yet, but for OEM we'll be looking around $450 to your door. Invader might be a bit more...

If you can do the OEM style for $450, consider it a done deal. I'll definitely order one fo that price.... maybe you can ship it with my Stillen FSTB

It would be $450 shipped on OEM style and $500 shipped for the Invader Type 6. Are there 5 buyers out there?

Damn, didn't expect this so fast. Any chance of holding off till the 15th? (Need to bring down my credit card balance before I can charge this)

Few questions too before I commit. I'm doing this for the weight reduction, so what does it weigh (OEM style)?

No, unfortunately VIS no longer makes hoods for us 4th genners. The invader Type 6 hood looks just like this:

But obviously for a maxima.

Just as a disclaimer, CF hoods almost never fit exactly as the stock one did. Just the way the process is for baking them, that shrinks them slightly, and sometimes they dont align as perfect as the stock ones do........just my .02 into this. I still encourage you guys to get them !

Steve, yes please.
A number of us are interested in the weight diff.
Also do you need hood pins or will the stock latch work?
Can you paint them?
Thanks
Mike

Lets see if I can help out some. The weight difference is around 20 pounds stock vs CF hoods. The latch will hold for a short period of time but eventually the hood will fly up on you considering the latch is connected to fiberglass vs metal on the stock hood. They can also be painted...I believe the most recent painted CF hood was Shadow.

Thanks Blu.. So is there enough interest for 5 hoods at the price I listed?
