Custom High-Quality Wheel Spacers
12mm but other widths may be possible. Check out this thread and post here if you are interested.

Galo is the one who had custom 12mm spacers machined to fit 5th/4th gen wheels/rotors perfectly. Check out his description on that thread.

You can get *these* for cheaper. Not sure if the 1/2" one will have the hubcentric "lip", but they are 1/2 the price. Also, I think the lip Galo had made was specific to his SSRs and may not work with other aftermarket wheels.
Just adding another option for you guys. I had 1/2" spacers made for me by my friend's dad. He's closing his machine shop though

Yes, $75 each or $60 each if we get 20. If you own a Maxima, you probably don't need wheel spacers in the front unless you're running stock rims. The rear track width on Maximas is noticeably narrower than the front, which really bothers me, and hence my quest for a pair of spacers for the rear only. With my rims the front offset is perfect. I also would worry more about having spacers in the front since there is more weight up there and the front wheels are powered and also turn (ah, FWD...).
So if you're only getting one pair that's $150 (or $120...) plus shipping for custom, top-quality spacers. Not a bad deal.
If we can get 20 people that would be awesome. I assume they could do 12mm up to 20mm and probably beyond if some people didn't want 12mm.

So can someone please give me some guidance? I want to know what is the ideal setup for my car. I have:
1997 Maxima SE lowered 1.5F/1.3R
18x8 rims with a 40mm offset
Should I get front and rear spacers? Or rear spacers only? What sizes should I get?
Thanks in advance.

GorillaMax, Definitely get rear only. 8 inch rims at +40mm are near perfect in the front. I'd get 15mm in the rear but 20mm could be OK too.
Shadow, I've heard that Pathfinder studs (readily available at any decent salvage yard) are longer and will work on the Maxima but I do not know for sure.
