Do you really think hot glue is stronger then the 3M tape?

got mine, but kinda fit funny, they are not as closly molded as i thought they would be. i thought all i needed to do was shave the nipple and double side tape it, and thats it. but the front of the carbon eyelids are not at a curve, and its hard to think of a way to set it on solid.

 

You might want to talk to Flavor 24/7. He installed his, and they turned out nice.

 

Just a quick question, who still hasnt recieved theirs, and could you send me the date the money was sent through PM.
I will try and contact Jose and get an update, from what I have gathered, hes been out of the office and not answering the phone.

Mine fit perfect and were curved to the fitment of the headlight.
I did have to do some adjusting to get them lined up evenly but the initial fit was good.

i contacted themyesterday and he told me he was out of town and his fiance was suppose ot ship them and didn't. So he told me that he will be dropping them off to be shipped today. No harm, just glad i am still getting them. So if you have not recevied them yet hopefully sometime next week.

 

pisses me off how irresponsible some companies can be, i believe jose was pretty good wit deals, just upset that he cant let ppl know wuts going on....ask if he has more brows for 4th gen if u can, for me and the other 4th gen guy who wants some brows...

I don't mean to be ghetto or anything, but I just like to think of the easy way out of some situations. Here me out, can't you just buy those smoke GTS headlight covers, mark off what shape you want the eyelids, and cut the plastic?????? Not only do you have a sturdy eyelid that can be painted whatever color, but those things are usually about 50 bucks.

ok, problem fixed, i thought that due ti the lack of curvature to the eyelids, that the tape wont be able to hold it. ive never tried using this type of tape. this thing is super strong and everthing came out fine.

 

we can get eyelids for 50 bucks, not a problem, the whole point is that they are carbon fiber...

I created a post a while back to try and get everyone in for 5.5 gen eyelids and there just wasnt enough demand for it. We need a decent demand and someone would have to let jose use their headlight as a template.

 

5.5 gen lids....5.5 gen lids gimme gimme gimme.

That was the other reason the 5.5 gen eyelids gd never happened. Some org member complaints and concerns.

 

yea on the wqya to fellini's mine fell off. they fit like garbage...i was so pissed, wasted $50....

 

You must have not prepped the area well enough before putting them on.
Mine are still on, and their on pretty good. I would really have to pull on them to break them loose.
I wiped the back and the headlight area down really well with alcohol before putting them on.




Anyone else have theirs "fall" off?

 

i prepped it well. i used alcohol and i used 8lb test double sided tape. i just could not find a good place for them on the headlight. they just would not fit.

 

I dont know what to tell you, you saw the pics of them on my max. They fit my car just about perfect. Their all created from the same mold.

 

Ionic Dynamics is really starting to dissappoint me. I'm hearing nothing but aggrevations, no product delivery, poor fitment, and most importantly, falling off the face of the earth! This is definately not good business sense, even if it is with a bunch of Maxima groupies online. These are still paying customers and there is no sense for this. Many of you can't get an answer on anything, and I'm tired of waiting for 5.5 gen answers on if we can do it or not. Regardless of if we've sent Jose a headlight to mold. This has been an issue with pretty much most of the deals that has been setup through Ionic, I'm not just *****in about this one gd..............Sad to see it come to this, but I'm upset for myself and everyone else! At least chime in and let everyone know what's going on. Everyone has problems and issues, but you have everyone's money already!!!!
