also, which ngk spark plugs would you recommend? i know theres a lotta debate about em. sparkplugs.com has the ngk normal plats for $2.68 each plug

im running the iridiums right now..didnt really see a huge improvement from before. but i DID have a screwed up coil..so who knows

 

in my opinion it really dont matter which ones as long as they are NGk the platnium will last longer thats about it

 

My car is in the shop now for what I thought was a bad fuel injector, but it turned out to be a bad coil pack. That means I'll need 5 coil packs, since I'm having one replaced already under warranty. Wish they would pay for all six, but they're stiff that way. Can I get a price for 5 for my 95?

This thread was started specifically for 4th gen coil packs, so why is there now a question about the group deal being valid for 4th gens?

because everyone that has paid is asking for teh ones for 5th gen which are the ones taht go bad!

 

The 99's have the same problem just as often as the 5th gens... the 95's through 98's were fine overall. So can you get the 4th gens for the same price?

The 5th gen coils always run $50-100 cheaper per set (depending on the seller). Twilln's GD prices are for 5th gen and the Jerry Rome prices are for 4th gen. Twilln's prices are good, but not as much as these 4th gen numbers make them look. He hasn't gotten back to us yet about what his prices will be for the 4th gen coils. Twilln, please let us know soon.

not to get off topic but can somone explain how the car feels like if the ignition coils need to be replaced. thansk!!

 

check engine light will go on and start running sluggish. Bad gas mileage. WIll give you error code P1320. If u have a 2k U will need to replace them if you havent alraedy

i think its ok...i had my light cleared on friday by autozone and it hasn't come back on yet. i guess it hasn't misfired since then. i have been taking it easy though. though i dont think mine was very bad. car didnt' shake or anything.

 

I first started this thread for a group deal for the 4th generation Max, but somehow the 5th gen were the only only ones twillin looked into. Why did us 4th gens. get kicked to the curb?
