No the face is not detachable. The DVD player runs on 12V+ so you don't need an inverter. There is also a 12v+ harness on it so that you can use it to power whatever other 12V+ accessories off of it. It'd be the perfect place to tap the power source for the screen.

To hook up the DVD to the screen no extra parts are needed except for install accessories (butt connectors, electrical tape, zip ties, etc etc).

what are butt connectors?

Also, I want to also hook up a rear view camera to the screen. Any electrical genius know how to do this? Do you need a splitter/switch or something? I am an electrical newb....I admit it.

Butt connectors are just electrical connectors that you use to splice the wires together. You can use butt connectors or solder them if you have a soldering iron and solder. A rear view camera is simple to hook up. You just mount the camera in your key hole and run the video cable right into your video source. If you buy one of our DVD players it has a two video Inputs into it. You can use one of them for the rear view camera.

12V+ is what I mean by just 12 volt battery power. Everything in your car runs off of 12 volts (well actually more like 14.4 volts to be exact but 12V is just what everyone calls it).

I've updated the first page of the thread.

As long as I can still get them at this price then I will keep them at this price. So this will go beyond Dec 15th and probably stay for at least a few more weeks.

Regards,
Bryan

Bryan, one more question: is the DVD player a standalone unit meaning I can hook it up to the speakers or do I still need a headunit?

p.s. I'm not sure if you received my reply to your PM, but I never got those instructions in my e-mail.

Felix,

The DVD can be used as a stand alone unit if you want to, but there isn't any FM/AM tuner on it. Also, there is no amplifier so you'd have to have all your speakers running off of an external amp if you don't already.

But it would work fine just as a MP3/CD player.

The 7" screen is $175 shipped to your door. The DVD/MP3/CD player is $115 shipped to your door. If you buy the 7" screen and DVD player together, then the DVD player is $100 shipped to your door.

Shipping to Canada is an extra $20 on the combo, or $14 for the screen or DVD alone.

I have all of them in stock and ready to go.

Regards,
Bryan
