Precisely. I've run GD's before, so I know it's some work, but it would be great if we got some regular updates on the status of this order. Especially considering each of us has a pretty substantial chunk of change in this deal.

The order has been placed with D2 but I am still trying to back up our harddrive so that we can charge the balance to everyone who left a deposit by credit card. Will be done over the weekend

Yes, thanks for the update.

So where do these things actually come from? I see D2 is basically all over the world, I was just curious where they are based out of and where their products are manufactured?

I think they are manufactured in Taiwan, and in this case, they would be shipped out of California?

D2's are M.I.T. - Made in Taiwan. Only the best come out of that country

Is it possible to get in belatedly on this group deal? it would't matter to me if my set of coilovers were delayed because i am late, but i would very much like to get in at this price if that is possible. my max was wrecked and i didn't know that i'd be getting another until just this past week when i bought another 4th gen, and if i can get in on the gd i can pay in full immediately.

ETA is by the end of February. I still haven't found a good back up program for our harddrive. The files were recovered after 3 days but they all were named "Recovered Text File" "Recovered JPG" etc and there were over 20,000 text files. I am going to give another program a go so I can get that complete list

So 6-8 weeks is now 12 weeks. Needless to say, I'm pretty unhappy about that.

If you've already placed the orders, as you previously stated, why can't they be delivered sooner? Why couldn't your hard drive problems be solved within a week or two from today, well before they even complete manufacturing these new coilovers for us?

I'm definitely not waiting 3 months. As you guys know, most banks, credit cards, Paypal, etc... have a time limit for when you can file a claim.

Paypal has a time limit of only 30 days from the time you paid, to file your claim.

I just called my CC and they said I have a 6 month period to file a claim. One of the main reason, why I used CC to paid for the coilovers. I am not saying that I will be using that option in the near future, Mark has somewhat come thru with some info and I am not ready to label him as another roadbeast but it is fishy that with all the problems he is having with the 240sx people, he decided to take on another GD with us.

Great info Andy. I ordered up 8/6 for my daily spirited driving purposes. Having a shitload of Dynamat Xtreme in the trunk probably works out for that.

But right now I'm much more concerned about an explanation and update from Mark. The new info. worries me alot.

Can someone post some details on the 240 Group Buy. I can't get access from my Gov't computer for some reason. Also, while we are waiting to figure this out we should compile all available info on Mark. Also, someone should make a call to Mark and get a very detailed explanation of what's going on. If nobody volunteers, I'll do it myself when I get back. I'm running out the door now.
