Matt, thank you for this group deal!! It is people like you that make Maxima.org a truly GREAT place!! THANK YOU !!
I only have one last question, I'm getting a Y-pipe soon, should I wait until the y-pipe is installed before installing the LTB stage 2, for ease of installation? Thanks again for your help!!

Thanks for the props! I help you guys by giving you mods.. you help me buy the food on the stove right now.

whether to install the bar before the Y only depends on how handy you are with an impact wrench!
You do have to have it off in order to install the Y pipe, so you might as well just wait and install them both at the same time. only takes me about 10 min to install it myself, but then again I've had a lot of practice. So it's up to you.

Hey guys... note the ending date in the original post- Monday, Dec 13th. I'll go ahead and honor the prices until the end of today (Thurs, Dec 16th), but no promises on getting the stuff shipped out before the new year. I'm leaving town next Tuesday and won't be back until the 3rd.

Matt. You never called me back the other night. We need to talk. i got some things I want to get done. Clutch, tranny rebuild, rear seal, rear brakes, etc. Give me a call some time. If you're up to it, I'm wanting to get those heads on the car as well if we can. Know anyone with stock 5th gen cams?

seeing as Matt was the test monkey for the WSP sub frames, I'm pretty sure it there isnt a problem.

well that and the fact they are in different parts of the car (the LTB bolts to parts of the car before the rear LCA bushing, while the subframes weld to the car after the rear LCA bushing. Hopefully that makes sense ). order away

Matt, if you could ship that pillar before you leave I'll be one happy camper

Dysfunctional, see post #47 in this thread.

David, sorry about that.. had a lot of crap going on that night and completely forgot to call back until after midnight. didn't think Jamie and Shelby would appreciate that!

It'll have to be after the New Year, but I'll be glad to help you tackle that stuff.
On the cams, might want to get in touch with Frank- see what he's got left from his projects.. I think they're all 4th gen stuff.

Hey matt, I have a question. Lets say I buy the 5th Gen Caliper Relocation kit right. And down the line I would like to do a upgrade to 300zx calipers, would I have to buy the front BBK, or just buy the 300zx calipers????

Also can these 300zx calipers fit on the OEM 17's. Even with spacers??? Trying to keep the sleeper look!!!

You'll have to buy different brackets when you want to upgrade to the Z calipers. otherwise the caliperfittment will be off. BUT.. I will be glad to talk about a trade-in plan or something assuming the brackets are still in good shape.

the Z calipers WILL NOT FIT under the stock 17s unless you put a 1/2-3/4" spacer on, which will look hideous, IMO.

That's cool matt, but would you sell the brackets separately??? And the brackets will be in great shape if I dicide to do a trade in. Right now my car is only doing 4,000 miles a year. And I only got 63k on the car already(purchased 9/13/99).

I will also hold you to your word. Thanks again Matt

yeah, I can do that. lots of people prefer to buy the calipers and such elsewhere. just be sure you get the right lines and stuff if you don't buy them from me. they're included in the 300ZX bracket set, but you have to supply your own for the 5th gen relocation kit (you can just use the factory lines if you want)

Yeah, what he said.

I've been buying the bushings from Courtesy myself, but they pi$$ed me off again and I'm currently setting up relations with a few other vendors that will be able to get me parts quicker and more reliably than Courtesy. In the meantime, I recommend going to Cattman and getting them from him. His prices are GREAT with the intro pricing.

Hey Matt, I'm assuming your BBK with the Z calipers will fit inside my 19" x 8" rims. I've looked at them, and there is 1.5" - 2" gap between my stock calipers and my 19's inside spoke. LMK.

Turbo, shoudln't be a problem.
from my website: "Measure 5 1/4" out from the center of the wheel to one of your spokes. Now measure the distance from the surface of your stock rotors. If you have at least 2 1/2" of clearance here, then you should be fine with the kit."

hct67, you have mail.
Liuspeed, I'm finally back in town... give me a call or shoot me an email.. out of stock on the B14 bars though- sold my last one yesterday and I'm getting to work on another batch as soon as I finish replying/deleting the 350+ emails I got since I've been gone.

Happy recipient of Matt's stuff

Hi Matt,
Just to say thanks for your terrific handling of my recent order and the most intelligent customs preparation (!). Package arrived promptly to the frozen wilds of Ottawa this week.
Request: please make more goodies for us to purchase.
Cheers, Leigh.

Yeesh... I shipped that package on 12.18 and it's just now getting there? USPS said 4-6 days!!!

Sorry about that, but unfortunately they don't guarantee delivery times and a few are late sometimes- especially around Christmas.

Hey Matt, you may already have answered the question I have but since I dont recall... I have 17" wheel not the stocker but TMW GTV which seem to have a good clearance, any chance that the your Z BBK fit ? Otherwise I'll sell my wheel and buy some 18 x 8 HP EVO 5 wheels to accomodate the BBK.

Cheers

AA

Hey Matt, as you may know,( well now you'll know, lol ) I've been juggling for a while as to wich next BB kit to put on my 2k1 max, I believe my actual set-up might hold until march but no later. My mind is set on your Z BB kit, I want front and rear BBK, if I understand clearly your kit is 720$ for the front BBK, that would just include everything exept the fluids, can you make me a price for a front & rear kit that include everything, Z calipers, 2k4 rotors, pads ( axxis metal master or ceramics )SS lines, shims and what else, I already have few bottle of Motul Brake oil. One more last question can you supply the 2k4 rotors slotted - dimpled ?
Sorry for all the questions but you'll get my money soon so like the old addage say better be safe than sorry.

Thanks again for your help.

AA, I'll get you a price on all of it shortly.. Depends on what you're looking for on finish, rotors, etc.. unfortunately I can't get pads yet though. I'm trying to set up some accounts at a few places to that I can start stocking some of the stuff like pads and fluids.

Celica, the group deal ended over a month ago.

Glude, I'm working with some suppliers right now to try to get some accounts on rotors. They have some 2k4 rotors available and can get them in solid, dimpled, slotted, drilled, etc..
