Jason,

I am Interested in some brakes for my 2k2 maxima

-Front & Rear Axxis Ultimate pads
-Front RTP blank rotors
-ATE Blue Fluid

hope ya get this when u get back....interested in local pickup as well...do you take CC by any chance?

oh yeah one more thing...how well do the axxis ultimates perform? i'm primarily concerned with noise and excessive dusting...i had the PBR metal masters on my 4th gen and they were noisy and dusted like crazy...but heard the ultimates are made out of ceramic to reduce it? let me in on the details when u get back..thanks!

Jason is not here for a while. But I am troubled by the following post.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=410338

Jason recommended the Ultimates to me as non-noisy great pads but folks on there are saying they suck. Hundreds of folks have bought these Axxis pads from Jason and I have not seen a single complaint in his GD threads yet there are folks who claim Axxis Ultimates are only good for tracks and that they are hard on the rotors.

I am totally confused now.

I installed my front Brembo slotted with the Ultimates on Friday. So far no noises or excessive dust.

Jason, when you get back from your overseas trip please contact me. I just left you an email as well.

One of the RTP rotors I received was cracked, and another rotor has a large gash missing from it. I will have pictures up for you this week. They are still in the box you sent them in as well.

Daniel, sure thats not a problem. I spoke to Jason a few weeks ago and he told me he was going overseas.

When is he expected to come back, just so that I know when to send the 2 rotors back to him. Thanks!

Can anyone get into contact with Jason? Apparently I received the incorrect pads for my car, so now I cant put the new brakes on (and the car is sitting on jackstands).

Sept 10th would be too long for me!

If you can relay a message, I ordered 2001 I30 brake pads and rotors, and received pads for an Altima. It looks like the rotors are correct, but the pads are definitely not.

Need help ASAP!!!

I tried pm'ing him last week with no luck because his pm box was full. Unless he or his friend went through it and deleted old messages.

I'm stuck with 4 rotors that I cannot install because 2 are damaged. Hopefully Jason comes back soon so that I can send back the bad rotors and get new ones.

I cannot PM, Im still not up to 15 posts (I wonder if I asked nicely if the mods would allow me to be a "member" instead of just someone who can barely ask any questions or add any information).

Anyway, crisis averted. The only difference with the pads he sent were that they had an extra "tab" where they snap into the retaining plate. Mr Bench Grinder took care of the tabs, pads snap right in.

Chris
The brake pads I send you is for your car
Infinity I30, Nissan maxima, Nissan Altima use the same brake pads.
Your rear didn't fit is probly the brake pad was for 00-01 early modle which means your rear pads suppose to be for an 2002 I30.
anyways sorry about the inconviences. Is an easy fix (remove the retainer clip)

Nathan
I am still waitting for the pictures you suppose to send me?

take care

Thanks for the info, and sorry about jumping the gun. I just ground off the extra "tabs" on the pads, and left the retaining clips in the calipers (i didnt know if it was OK to just ditch the retainers). Grinding the tabs did the trick, they slide and snap right in just like the stockers. I knew something was up when I went all the way to Pep Boys and had them pull all of their rear pads for the car. Guess what? They all had the extra "tab" that was interfering. So luckily I still get to use my PBR Ultimates

Front pads didnt need to be touched.

I must say, Im very satisfied with the products! Thanks for the great service.

One more question - any idea if you can get a hold of rotors/pads for a Nissan Titan? Apparently the truck rotors warp as easily as the car rotors.

Thanks again!
-Chris

to mess with y'all...

I just got them installed yesterday (slotted brembos, pbr ultimate pads, ss lines) and they are simply great. the car stops 100% better than it did before. Looks are awsome as well, just need to paint the calipers. So whenever you get a chance, GET THEM!
